Typical american hotels, only black coffee and tea (sorry cows being milked so no creamer provided). no other amenities. Include breakfast but breakfast is banana bread, apple, oatmeal with raisin and juice. No protein. Very unhealthy. Seating is limited so better take it to the room to suck it up. Service? What service? Noted other travellers have souvenir like a water bottle at checkin. But i was not given one. May be i booked through trip.com The only good thing is near to the park and Hilo Bay…. But then there are other hotels near the Hilo Bay.

Delightful hotel in a prime location: surrounded on a peninsula of sorts by lagoons/“ponds” filled with wildlife like herons, turtles, and fish. Each morning there are people fishing and enjoying the park next door and the pool is situated to enjoy all of this beauty. The rooms are basic and dated but you have what you need and if you have a relaxed Hilo mindset you’ll probably enjoy the 60s tropical vibe as much as we did! Very basic continental breakfast (bread and fruit only), but an okay-looking restaurant on site. There is also a small party/liquor store and a gift shop. Advice on how to make your experience feel like a resort: - book room 416 or something around there: one with a balcony in the Oceanside. - grab some meats and cheeses from the supermarket and if you can, hard boiled eggs or the like to supplement your breakfasts (there’s a fridge in your room and you can put your continental breakfast from the hotel in a To Go container that you re use each day). -get up early each day to have breakfast in the balcony and enjoy your view a couple hours before the day’s activities. So special and relaxing!

Definitely recommend if staying in Hilo

Hawaii hotels are used to cleaning the rooms every other day, but they only changed the bath towels every other day. Hotels in Hawaii are getting more and more shabby. The most terrible thing is the included breakfast, which is just two kinds of bread and coffee, which is too simple and not worth the price. The steak restaurant on the first floor tastes good.

The hygiene is so-so, and my body even feels a little itchy after sleeping. The location is very good, right outside the Japanese Park and the great sea view, the walking experience is quite first-class. The price/performance ratio is quite high and includes a simple breakfast. Parking is also free. If you consider the price/performance ratio, you can choose this.

The hotel is a bit old, and the hygiene is basically up to standard. There is a strong smell of disinfectant when entering the room, which should have been cleaned and disinfected, but there are stains on the sheets, which makes people feel uncomfortable; the most annoying thing is that there is a serious abnormal noise in the bathroom, which will make a sound every once in a while, especially at night when it is quiet, the noise is particularly loud, and you will be woken up, which seriously affects your sleep. The surrounding environment of the hotel is not bad, and it is convenient to go to the volcano.

The hotel environment is good, on a street full of huge ancient banyan trees. The room is a bit old, and the lack of lighting makes it a bit depressing. Breakfast feels like a relief meal: each person is given a simple plastic box similar to a takeaway box when entering the restaurant, which is a simple and rough way to solve the problem of food and clothing. However, when we returned to the hotel after dinner at the same restaurant, we got a surprise: steak and tuna poke, which were delicious and filling 😋

The hotel is by the sea, with a good surrounding environment and close to the airport. The hygiene and service are also good. The lobby environment is good, the corridor is bright, and the room and bathroom are spacious. The buffet breakfast is a bit simple, but the quantity is sufficient.
