Lofos Apartments

As we arrived, we were welcomed by the amazing Maria who helped us to our rooms and was always available throughout the week for any questions and advice on the local area. To be honest all the staff at this accommodation go above and beyond to ensure that their guests have an unforgettable experience. A big shout out to Joanna & Monica.🍹 This accommodation is in a great location to access all three of the villages… Piskopiano, Koutouloufari and Old Hersonissos. The accommodation is also spotless and a perfect place for anyone looking for that great Greek hospitality! Pool is very relaxing and never had an issue finding a sunbed. There is also a restaurant that offers food through the day, from morning into the evening 🍴 I would 100% recommended Lofos Apartments to families, couples and friends. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Apologies for this review being added well after our last visit in June 25' we are repeat guests and have found a Level of consistent excellence everytime we visit here. The staff cannot be praised highly enough for their service to their guests and many of them we now consider as friends !!! The food and drinks menu's have enough in the way of varied choices whether you want just a simple snack or an amazing dinner with an excellent wine from a wide choice of options. Rooms are very good with no issues whatsoever from us, the facilities within are suitable for making your own meals should you wish. The pool are is also great and it does get hot here and it is a good place to cool off. The walk from the appts to Piskopiano takes 10/15 mins depending on your fitness up the hill, taxi's are cheap and plentiful average 8€ and offer an alternative. Piskopiano has a good selection of bars and restaurants as does Koutoulafri another 15mins walk away also reachable for the same 8€ taxi ride from the Lofos Apts. Old Hersonissos is a must visit for an evening meal but as it is hugely popular, be advised re pre booking. The overview of the 3x areas mentioned is of beautiful old world charm - Stone built houses, hanging baskets and the Cretan hospitality which is legendary. Transfer time from the airport is around 45mins Hersonissos is a 10/15 downhill walk and is a typical large resort with shops bars, beach etc,etc. every year we have booked to return before we have even gone back home (read into that what you will). Don't just take my word, the Lofos Apartments receive the best reviews for a good reason.

You read the reviews before you book and you think, if it's half as good as it sounds, it should be alright. Well, it's better than we could have ever imagined. It's now been a week since we returned from our 7 night stay at the Lofos Apartments, and we are still talking about how we had the best, and most relaxing time we have ever had on holiday. From the moment we arrived late afternoon we were made to feel so welcome by the fantastic staff on duty (Matthew and Jimmy). Everything we needed to know was explained in great detail, and our cases taken from us as we were shown to our room. Our studio - room 16 - was fantastic, very clean and modern with comfy beds, plenty of hanging space in the wardrobe with case storage underneath, a dressing table, bed side table, table and chairs, plenty of sockets and a small kitchenette with good sized fridge. Balcony views down the valley to the sea were a welcome bonus too. Within an hour we were laid next to the pool with an ice cold beer relaxing after a long day of travelling. We ate at the hotel many times over the holiday, the food was delicious, the service was excellent, but more than that, it was always warm and friendly. Before we arrived in Crete and the Lofos Apartments, we were looking at holiday options for 2026 across the whole of Greece, needless to say we are looking no more, and have booked to return next July for 2 weeks this time in an apartment. This is a special place, with truly special people who look after you every second you are there. The most amazing time spent at Lofos Apartments. We were greeted instantly as we arrived, given help with our luggage and any questions and throughout the trip staff were incredible - they were happy to help us in any way they could, giving us information and recommendations about the island, and always ready to help us. The hotel was a lovely place, with a strong community feel about it, as staff knew everyone and were engaging and friendly! It had everything me and my partner needed for the most perfect trip away - delicious food at the restaurant, a pool that was equipped with floats, and a perfect blend of privacy and socialising. Staff were eager to make it a memorable trip and we couldn’t thank them enough for their warmth and hospitality!

Booked the Lofos after reading reviews on TripAdvisor and we were not disappointed. Truly amazing holiday from the moment we arrived. We arrived late and was greeted at the gate by the owner Maria and Monica. Our cases were taken from us and told to head to the bar to get some refreshments after a long day travelling. The staff are truly lovely and look after everyone so well. The culture and personal touch is something We have never experienced before on holiday and is really quite special. We tried to pay for the aircon, safe and room tax on a few occasions but Maria said to enjoy our holiday first and settle up later. (we don't like owing money) This is another personal touch that you do not get in other hotels. Every guest gets a personal send off too which is a special touch and nice to watch throughout the week. The hotel is so relaxing and quaint. We had lovely views of the sea and Mountains (room 15). Breakfast has plenty of choice and the meals at lunch and in the evening were really nice. 15 mins down the road is the beach and plenty of nice bars and restaurants. After 11pm it gets lively and suits the younger generation. 10 minutes up the road in Piskopiano and Koutouloufari there is an abundance of lovely traditional Greek restaurants all with amazing food and a wonderful atmosphere. Great for all age groups. We have been to different parts of Greece which have all been lovely but have never returned because we like discovering new place. Lofos has changed our view and have just booked a return for next July. If you are looking for a relaxing crete holiday, book here you will not be disappointed. Every guest you speak to all say the same thing about the staff. We met some lovely people which we spent time getting to know and ventured out with and will be retuning with us next year. We returned home yesterday from Lofos. This was our first visit having been to the villages of Koutouloufari & Piskopiano on 7 occasions. The moment we walked in we were greeted by Maria & her staff. We were made to feel so welcome & the other guests were so friendly. The appartments are spotlessly clean, lovely food, best shower we have ever had in Crete. Thank you Maria, George, Joanna, Jimmy, Monika, Matthew & all the other staff for such a fantastic stay. It’s true what they say you arrive as a guest and leave as a friend.We are already booked to return next June and are counting the days already xx
