I had the most Wonderful stay for two nights Rooms so clean and lovely and airy, really peaceful and quiet Bed super comfy, pillows great Towels really soft , lovey little showers gels and shampoo Hot choc and biscuits left in the room Food great Staff lovely I will be back

Nice clean room, bed was comfortable, excellent breakfast and pleasant accommodating staff! Plenty of car parking available and easy to check in and out. (even when out of hours). We have stayed before and will be back again...! Thank you!

Booked late, always been thought of as a nice place down to a wedding reception a few years ago. On arrival the parking and grounds are well maintained. There is temporary metal fencing cordening off a part near reception, the exterior is showing wear and tear a few missing roof tiles probably not helped with moss. Our room looked very dated, although the bathroom more modern. Furniture was old and tired but useable Beds comfy, plenty of tea n coffee. The inside of the front door looked like the wet weather had got into it. A few water marks on ceiling if bathroom. And cobwebs in the main room. In my opinion the £88 was a little high for what we got. It just needs a little tlc, it's the small improvements that will bring it back to former glories

Arrived on a Sunday afternoon to find reception closed. 3 numbers to call on a door sign. Took us a while as we were from overseas and only had data plan on our phone. Thankfully one of the alternative numbers was answered via WhatsApp. The manager was polite and sent Greg to give us our room key, who promptly locked himself away again. When we arrived in our family room (room 19) it had a double bed and a sofa. I was concerned this was not a family room but a quick phone call to the manager revealed it was indeed but the sofa bed had not been properly made up. It also only had a single quilt (for 2 people) and one set of towels (for 4 people). Greg was quickly dispatched to rectify the situation so we were happy it was resolved promptly.. Room was clean, bathroom was spacious and once were worked out how to turn on the radiator the room was toasty warm. Beds were comfy although a little cramped for a family with 2 teenagers. Only 2 nights though so we survived :-) Breakfast provided was delicious - choice of cereals, yogurt, pastries, muffins plus toast cooked on request. Coffee was great and juices also available. Good value for the price. On weekends they offer cooked breakfast for an additional cost but provided breakfast was plentiful. Apparently half the buildings have been sold off - a bit of building works around and the car park has quite a tight turn to get into. Feels like the owners might be trying to step away from the business and that came across in the care for the buildings. Couldn't fault the service of the staff though - they were polite, friendly and helpful at all times. As we were staying a short time and only to rest our weary heads after a trip to Harry Potter studios and London, it was a perfect spot to stay.
