I have stayed in many old hotels and that is ok but this one is neglected and absolutely filthy. The service is non existent and staff is rude and unfriendly. Avoid this place at all cost. This is physically a two star hotel but in truth it is a no star hotel. As a side note, I am the easiest person to please.

We visited with family to this worst hotel today. After 20 min of waiting we got a masala dosa which was utter cold. Probability it was made half an hour before. When this is brought to the notice of restaurant manager he went inside the kitchen and came with a irritating dialogue " come inside the kitchen to get hot dosa". Devastating behavior, Nobody can visit such a worst hotel.

L’hotel avrebbe anche delle potenzialità ( bel giardino , camera ampia e ben arredata) Peccato però che che sia in stato di abbandono ( la piscina dietro l’hotel, le docce della piscina, etc) , sporco ( la doccia della mia stanza completamente incrostata di calcare, le finestre piene di ragnatele…) e con il personale più indifferente e a tratti sgarbato di tutto il mio viaggio. Se si unisce il fatto che la colazione è stata pessima e che ad Hassan non c’è granché da fare , per cui stare in un buon hotel diventa essenziale, capirete perché è meglio evitarlo !

We were in Hassan with our family at the end of December 2024 and stayed at Hotel Ashhok. This is an excellent hotel. The rooms are large and clean and the service is perfect. In the evening you can have a small snack in the lounge next to the restaurant. The staff were extremely friendly and service-orientated. I can only recommend the Hotel Ashhok.

This claims to be a 4* hotel - far from it! The hotel seems old. The room was battered and the bathroom was small. There was no view. The electric sockets had burn marks from sparking and not all of them worked properly. The room had only been superficially cleaned with some foul-smelling product and the bathroom was not completely clean.

Originally we were booked at Pearl Hotel, Hassan, however upon arrival and inspection of the room we found it to be dirty. In poor state of repair, we chose not to stay, but called our travel agent who immediately transferred us to Ashhok Hotel. This was not much better. The bathroom had grime in all corners between floor and walls. The furnishings were run down and had much surface damage. Quite unappealing, and frankly 3rd world in appearance.

I m disappointed during the stay. I feel hotel is struggling to maintain it. Staff is lack basics. They don’t know how to deal. Even after clear instructions on booking, they provided wrong room. Food is just ok. Service is very slow even for simple coffee needs to wait for 10min. I felt as reviews are far from reality.

At the outset, I want to clarify that I am not affiliated with the hotel in any way. This is solely my personal opinion. As I understand, this hotel has been in operation for 38 years. I must emphasize that everything is impeccably clean. I would rate the toilets, beds, lobby, and general facilities on the ground floor as A+. The food served here is also exceptional. The staff members are extremely courteous, and I must commend the front receptionist, Bhumica, for her professionalism. Regarding the room tariff, it's approximately Rs. 5000+ per night. If within your budget, I highly recommend anyone visiting Hassan to consider staying here. Additionally, there is a lovely jewelry shop within the hotel compound, adding to the convenience and charm of the place.
