I paid a JUNIOR SUITE comfortable clean , but my boyfriend and myself paid for a DOUBLE bed by JUNIOR SUITE . we got 2 Single bed . I requested to give me same room that we paid for : my request been refused

Very good service, location and have a good bar and restaurant. Lovely.

A lovely stay in a delightful hotel.  Polite, helpful staff coupled with a lovely room, quite small but perfectly adequate for a solo traveller.  The bed was so cosy and the bathroom was armed with a powerful, refreshing shower.  I also sampled the food from the attached restaurant - The Fat Badger - which was delicious.  I shall look forward to returning in the future.

Arrived to be greeted by a smiling receptionist called Fran, our room wasn't ready so left our bags in a room close to reception, trotted around Harrogate, The room was ready by 3.30pm,we asked for  room 116,first floor,right next to the stairs(never hear the door opening or closing)as we have stayed in this room before . Great sized room, super king sized  bed,great size TV,plenty Yorkshire tea bags and coffee,lovely powerful shower.Showers could use a small shelf inside so not bending up and down for shower gel/shampoo. Small comfy nap before dinner,dinner enjoyed in the on site Fat Badger restaurant. Delicious meal,good choice, not a huge menu but enough to satisfy everyone.great huge choice of wines,we settled on a lovely pino grigio,and even a cocktail in the hotel bar. Comfy nights sleep and an ample breakfast but journeying home.We will be returning for sure,its our favorite in Harrogate.Huge thanks to Fran on reception (and part time waitress) and also Dan on reception.Thanks for an excellent stay.  

Overall the room is comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. The staff were efficient and helpful. The hotel is gorgeously furnished; the breakfast room in particular is beautiful. The breakfast was of good quality and although busy at 9am, we got our food quickly enough. The bed was comfortable, the shower a good temperature and pressure, there were enough plugs and storage for one night and the tv was in a sensible position. The full size mirror is a great touch!   This place could be great with a few easy changes;  • the shower needs a shelf; there is nowhere to keep toiletries   • slippers and a robe would be a lovely touch  • the curtains are not wide enough or long enough for the window; the light floods through at dawn   • the room was EXTREMELY warm: I know air conditioning would be a big expense but it’s a necessity in this day and age I believe   • there are a number of paint scratches and marks on the wall by the window; just needs a touch up  • car parking expensive   All in all a really nice stay; could be super with some tweaks!

The hotel is very old-fashioned. Although the rooms are small, they are quite clean. It has all the internal organs and will not feel uncomfortable.
