The Belmont - Harrogate Stays

Small but well formed room. A lot smaller than it looks on photos. High end fixures and fittings. Decent shower room. Good location not too far from town. While the bed was comfy we were kept awake by the central heating noise. Food preparation not easy as overhead cupborads the same depth as the counter tops. No chopping board. Coffee maker but no cups fit it.

Looking for somewhere to stay for one night at the last minute, and found the Belmont….we loved it. Easy parking, short walk into town, clean appt with all facilities. Simple kitchenette (we didn’t need to use it), spacious bathroom with monsoon shower, and comfortable bed. Marian was always there on the phone and helped us with any questions. Thank You

Everything from booking to arrival & departure was so simple -Mark's communication was excellent - he sent recommendations for eateries / pubs also booked us a taxi to go to the Yorkshire Show (arrival messages from Marion) The apartments were lovely, had everything you need - would definite;y recommend and would stay again

Lovely, well appointed apartment, close to town centre, conference centre and theatres. Great communication with the hosts. Everything was perfect, and would certainly recommend to others. Parking is excellent, if no room at the rear car park, good street parking is nearby, with the hosts providing the required voucher. Super.

An excellent find. Mark was exceptionally helpful both before and during my stay. The place is really lovely and perfectly situated. It's clean, tidy and a joy to stay in. If I return to Harrogate, it will definitely be where I choose to stay again. Thank you!

Overall a good place to stay for a couples break in Harrogate for 2 nights. We will almost certainly return, and would recommend it to others. There are, however, a couple of minor issues that the management could address to improve the overall experience. Our stay was in the 'triple studio' room 12, on the top floor. Positives:- - Really handy location within a relatively easy (but hilly!) walk to the town centre. It is situated on a fairly busy road and our room was on the front so there was some noise associated with this, but not so much that it disturbed us. In summer, however, if you want to leave the window open overnight, it may be an issue. I would suggest using the interactive tour before booking a room to pick the best for your needs. - The website has a great 'Street view' style interactive tour so you can familiarise yourself with the accommodation in advance. It also allows you to look around the rooms so you can pick the best for your needs. It would be helpful if the booking site included the room numbers alongside the room type so you could easily match these up with the tour - the only way we found was to try and match up the pictures! - Welcome message from the manager was very helpful and contained all of the information we needed. - Access is through keypad locks, with your personal code included in the welcome email. This was extremely convenient and a big plus from us. - Despite several other guests we weren't really disturbed nor aware of them throughout our stay Negatives:- - The cleanliness of the room was generally ok, but could be better. In the middle of the bathroom floor there was a clump of soil that looked like it had come off the sole of somebody's shoe. The microwave was full of crumbs and obviously had not been cleaned (see picture). There was quite a substantial cobweb around the curtain rail too (see picture) and above the bath/shower, but no spiders evident! - The heated towel rail in the bathroom needs bleeding. Only the bottom section was hot so we struggled to get our towels to dry during our stay - The car park is very small. There were 3 cars parked in there when we arrived and I felt our car (Q5, so reasonably big) would likely be scratched/caught due to the tightness of the spaces (especially as someone had covered 2 spaces with their car!) As a result, we ended up leaving our car on a side road using the complimentary passes (we just put a new one in each morning as these only last for 1 night), and there was plenty of space to choose from, so not particularly inconvenient. Overall we were happy with the stay. If the points above could be addressed it would be a 5-start review, but we look forward to returning in the future!

An excellent stay at Belmont. Great location, rooms are furnished to a very high standard. The customer service couldn’t have been better. Mark ensured our needs were met. I would recommend to friends and family, and will definitely return!

I stayed a few months ago and have booked again already. You must stay here! We come to Harrogate quite often for business and find the B&B offering in the town quite variable. Mark and his team at The Belmont have nailed it, with lots of modern touches and basically a self-contained apartment rather than a small hotel room. Love it!

Not the biggest of apartments, more of a room with a kitchenette, but don't let that put you off as it's nicely done. Everything you need is there from fridge to coffee machine. The owners have really put thought into it. The whole apartment is lovely and clean. Nice rainfall shower too. Communication before and during the stay was excellent. Would definitely use again if visiting Harrogate.
