The Lodge Harrogate

Wonderful area for anyone going to a conference at the Harrogate Convention Center — it is quite literally right across the street.

What I expected The accommodation & service were what one could expect from this type of hotel; good value for money in the centre of Harrogate.

I found the bedding as comfy as I've ever experienced, especially the pillows. Scrupulously clean room and en suite. I wasn't happy about the radiator being cold and inoperable at midnight, when I returned from my birthday outing at the blues club! The typed instructions warned of a £20 fine for non emergency phone calls to admin at night.

Cheap and OK for one night. NO BREAKFAST In 6 nights no staff seen. No service in the room.

Good quality - perfect location Location for Harrogate Convention centre is perfect. Nice room ,good shower and great bed. All that is needed.

Quick minute walk from the bus/train station. In city central. Very small room. It was great. En suite, all I needed. Really great water pressure in the shower. There was a kettle, tv, extra blanket and a coat rack. Perfect for me. Simple, efficient and clean. The owner Kim helped me bring my baggage up. Another employee helped me bring my baggage down the 3 flights of steps. It was a nice experience. Only off thing was the nice employee I heard speak to a man whom I can only assume was his other boss. He pointed to my cane and mentioned I was walking to the train station a few minutes walk away. Or 2 minute drive. The guy brushed him off and drove in that same direction! I didn't ask for a ride. The employee just saw a guest who could use some help carrying a cane. I made it on my own in about 15 minutes. But shame on whomever literally drove in that direction and blew me off. I wish I never heard the conversation. That one hurt. I hope I'm wrong? Everything else was really quiet, nice and easy. I didn't expect anything extra from anyone. Seeing that exchange just made me feel awful.
