The suite I stayed in was a very bad experience. The door lock was broken on the day I checked in. I told the front desk after I found out. But the room was not cleaned at night, and the door lock was not repaired. The reason they told me was that they were afraid that I might lose valuables in the room, so they didn't repair the door or clean the room. Then my door was open for a whole day. This may be the funniest joke I have ever heard. They didn't repair the door because they were afraid that I might lose something. Location is far from the centre of Harbin so you’ll have to pay more for your transport. All the attractions such as Volga Manor, St Sophia Cathedral and Zhongyang Street are at least 30-70 mins away by car. The hotel is very clean and room service is available everyday. However, the toilet door couldn’t close and there were plumbing issue with the sink. The hotel corridor and lobby also smells strongly of cigarette smoke. The hotel staff are very polite, friendly and helpful. They charge you for the packet of tissue paper and disposable towel in the room.
