Hotels in Ba Dinh Square, Hanoi

Good hotel. Unfortunately, the window is not that sound proof.. I can hear a bunch of car honking outside, ruin my sleep. The room is very small, like literally small small. It’s basically a community living. If you table and chairs you have to sit outside your room for sharing. Water dispenser is provided outside. Because room is small, the toilet if you shower with hot water.. you can trigger the fire alarm, which I did.

I recently stayed at Rey Hotel Hanoi and wanted to express my gratitude for the wonderful experience. The hotel was immaculate, and the service was exceptional. Old but clean hotel. Lot of local business people staying there. Indoor pool is awesome. Lake view room is nice. Close to the pagoda and a nice cafe called Laika is a 5 minute walk. Bit farfor a walk to the old quarters, but taking a Grab car is easy, cheap and convenient. One weird thing when we were checking out and waiting for our Grab car, the concierge was trying to check the app to get specific details on our next destination.

The owner is very accommodating and the hotel is very new. The room is clean and spacious it is near lotte mart and other tourist attractions. You can also leave your luggage upon checkout while waiting for your next flight.

The hotel is undeniably fantastic and a wonderful stay. Hotel staff Minh Han is professional and made the stay felt like home. It’s rare to find excellent service such as Minh Han’s these days. Facilities, hygiene and service are all top notch. The room is extremely spacious and with great lighting. The ceiling window enhanced the Hanoi cultural experience as well! I’ll definitely stay at Five Suite Lilas than old quarter.

The hotel looked fancy at first glance, but was quite deceiving when we actually stayed in it. Good points about the hotel was the comfortable bed and the location, as it was not located directly inside the old quarter so it was quiet at night. Areas to be improved: The toilet was a difficulty to use as there was no privacy. The privacy blinds for the glass screen had a huge gap between them to see through and it was as good as not having the blinds. The water pressure for the shower was also very weak and the temperature was difficult to control, so we had to hold the faucet while showering. The room interior looked luxurious, but upon closer look some areas were peeling off and not very well maintained. The aircon was blowing straight at our face when we lie on the bed so it was quite cold. The breakfast buffet was not amazing either, only the ala carte food orders were decent. The swimming pool and gym were located at the sister hotel opposite this hotel so you will have to go there to use the facilities. Overall we felt the hotel was overpriced compared to the quality of stay.

I went to Hanoi for a visit so I booked a 3-day, 2-night room for convenience in resting and traveling. I have been to and booked many hotels and places to stay but this is the first time I have seen a place with such poor service. Like other hotels, check-in time is after 14:00 and check-out time is 12:00. We had something to do so we checked in at 16:40 (after more than 2 hours) but the staff said ”the room has not been cleaned yet, you two go out for a while and then come back”). I asked again ”Hey, it's 16:40 now, why haven't you cleaned it yet?” The staff replied with an attitude ”Because there's only one person cleaning now so there's no time.” 🤦🏼🤦🏼 We let it go. Then came the check-out day. We also knew we had to check out before 12:00, so from 11:00 we started cleaning the room gradually. At exactly 11:16, the staff rang the bell twice and said in an attitude-filled tone, ”It's time to check out.” I replied, ”Yes, we're cleaning now.” Then at 11:36 we went downstairs and returned the room key. As for the room amenities, for me it was quite okay compared to the price. But the only thing I was very dissatisfied with was the customer service. If you book a room, you should consider it!!!

The hotel is in a quieter area of Hanoi but surrounded by shops, coffee shops, supermarkets & food outlets. The hotel has only been open a few months so all new & modern. The Breakfast offers vietnamese cuisine as well as western food. Excellent. The staff in all departments are excellent. We will return to the hotel. Thabkyou .

Overall good hotel, spacious and clean room, nice rooftop swimming pool, decent breakfast. If need to find a couple of remarks, those could be: - service at the pool can be improved. Timing itself is already strange (it opens at 9 when it’s already 35°C outside and closes at 18 when it’s not even dark yet). Furthermore, on my last day I arrived at 9.45 for a quick dip, and nobody had put yet the pillows on the chairs, opened the umbrellas, provided towels, etc. I had to do everything by myself even though a staff member saw me going to the pool. - breakfast gave me mixed feelings: it’s really good to have some fixed buffet items + some a la carte options (including egg station), but that quality is in contrast with having boulangerie items regularly 1 or 2 days old. Again, overall good experience, but some things can be improved.
