Great hotel with excellent facilities, gym pool sauna - excellent location by the lake - ideal for family groups

A very nice hotel — clean, comfortable, and peaceful. The room is well-maintained and decorated with everything needed for a productive business trip. The staff, Doan, Linj, Tung are friendly and helpful, and the quiet atmosphere makes it easy to rest after a long day of meetings. Great location and overall excellent experience.

Tried this property as Somerset Grand Hanoi is fully booked. The apartment is new so as the staff lacking experience as compared with seasoned Somerset which is about 30 years old. The only positive note is that we are lead by a male front desk after checked in to show us the facilities & our room. Somerset does not do this but they have at 3 door men & woman to open the main entrance door and carry luggages verses Parkroyal 1. We stayed at a 1 bedroom unit with so-called NICE city view but we only have the ugly sight Vietnamese houses probably we are at 6 floor. However, the room is quiet facing away from the noisy lake and road. However the toilet bowl is chocked after used, which is rectified later. One of the concealed ceiling light above the toilet bowl is not working well. Most of the time that light is dead than suddenly on by itself. The switch for the bedroom is reversed. My side control the other side & the other side control mine. Notify the front desk that my weight scale is out of battery. They send someone without the new battery & saying it has battery because the LED display is working. I told him the display is showing “Lo” which is low battery. I have the same digital weighting scale in my own house. However, he gave me a look as if I do not know the scale well. The scale worked for a few second & go to “Lo”, this time I took a photo as evidence & he changed me with another working scale. In summary Somerset is like a well oiled engine & Parkroyal is new in hardware & need to improve on its software

We stayed here for 2 nights, really impressed, the warm welcome, with a very easy check-in and loved the room, we has a 3 bedroom suite over looking the lake. So much space. We also had dinner the first night, was really good and the breakfast, is huge with a very big selection. Loan is really good. Highly recommend when in Hanoi.
