Hanoi Grandeur Hotel

This is a very comfortable hotel, and the staff are very friendly and professional. Located near Dong Xuan Market and Hoan Kiem Lake in Hanoi, it's within walking distance of several major tourist attractions. Having just opened on August 12, 2025, all the facilities are still very new! I'm especially grateful to Mr. An, who worked the night shift. He offered a warm greeting and assistance even when I arrived near the crack of dawn on my first night. He's also very humorous, friendly, and helpful. If you have the chance to meet him, I'm sure you'll have a wonderful trip! This hotel is definitely worth considering during your trip to Hanoi. Thank you again to all the staff for their hard work and care.

Basically, it's a good price and a good location. If it were just a stay, I'd give it five stars. I'd definitely go back. Pros: Location, city view (this was a view room on the 8th floor), quiet, hospitality, and honest front desk staff. Cons: I'd like to say there are none, but on my last day, I ordered a taxi from Noi Bai Airport. It was 300,000 VND. However, when I arrived at Noi Bai Airport, someone asked me for money. He acted like he wasn't lying. It was a regular red Matsuda, not a taxi. I paid 300,000 VND in advance at the front desk. I wonder if it was an illegal taxi? It's hard for us Japanese to tell. However, at the airport, I was forced to pay an additional 200,000 VND. In the taxi, I told the front desk that I had already paid, but they ignored me and asked me to get out. I wasn't convinced, so I argued with the scam driver about why I had to pay. He was definitely a liar. I'd like to think it had nothing to do with the hotel. Since I don't speak Vietnamese, I decided to just accept it, so I persistently tried to get them to call the hotel in English for several minutes. I was worried I'd be late for my flight, and this was my first time encountering such a scammer in Vietnam. I would have given them a tip of several tens of thousands of dong. It was a bit much, wasn't it? After about five minutes of persistence, they finally called me. They immediately refunded me the 200,000 dong. They even threw the bill away with a dissatisfied look on their face, which only made me more frustrated. I'm left wondering whether the driver was being deceived by the hotel, or whether the hotel was deceiving the driver. I generally trust hotel front desks, and I thought they were trustworthy. Was this a collusion between the hotel and the driver? To avoid being deceived, please avoid paying the driver the amount they specify. If they were using a ticket system, I'd understand.
