Amazing
GGuest UserWe stayed at hotel chateau de hanoi for 2 nights and overall, it was an under-average experience. For its price (pre-discount and considering we were in Vietnam) it might not be that worth it.
We booked the hotel because of its high-rated reviews and its branding as a 5 star boutique hotel. Upon arrival, we were greeted with welcome drinks and the staff was friendly. We arrived hanoi quite early, so we asked if we could do an early check-in. We were informed by the staff that an early check-in was not impossible, but there was an extra charge. It was however totally understandable that the hotel has their arrangements so we went along with the regular check-in time, but the staff quite passive aggressively told us that they informed us on WhatsApp— we were on a flight and later on a Grab to the hotel so we were unable to read the message entirely. I would expect a 5-star service to be more understanding.
To be very honest, I would doubt if the hotel qualifies to be categorized into a 5-star hotel. Of course, the hotel provides customers with all the necessary amenities like toothbrush and shaving kits, but the hotel room didn’t have a window and lighting was insufficient. There was a bathtub, but there was no proper standing shower and it was just a shower head next to the toilet without curtains or doors. The twin bed was extremely small and too easy to be moved around (in a sense that if I wanted to sit at the edge of bed, the mattress would slide to that side).
Hygiene was fine but some areas such as the wall and the bathing area could be improved. We ran out of tissue paper in the room as well but after housekeeping the box was still empty and not replaced with a new box of tissue. Soundproofing at the hotel was not solid since we could constantly hear noises from next door during midnight.
In our booking package free breakfast was included, so we checked it out in the morning. A small buffet was provided, but the plates and utensils had oil on them. There was a set menu, but the scrambled eggs were not up to par and the pho was okay. Considering the hotel brands itself as a 5-star hotel, I would expect better hygiene and quality check.
Location-wise, the hotel is located at the heart of Old Quarter. It is convenient but this also means traffic can get very hectic nearby. Moreover we realized the staff was getting less and less friendly as we reached the end of our stay. It would be nice if their attitude and service could be more consistent, again, given it is a 5-star hotel.
SSteveeI had the most amazing time in this hotel for the last 3 days.
- The location is as good as it gets
- The room was clean and comfortable
- The beds were made for a perfect night's sleep
- The breakfast was out of this world. A huge variety of local of western dishes always changed from day to day. Al ways one of the highlights of my day.
- The staff were always kind, polite and responsive to any of my requests.
I would like to mention Miss May, Miss Rose, Ms An and Mr Jacky. They have all made a difference to my stay.
Not to mention the small gift received open check-in out.
Thank you Splendid Premium Hotel for making my stay in Hanoi special.
PpinkrippleThe location is near the Hoan Kiem Lake, which is convenient for access. The hotel service is really good. We arrived at midnight, and we called in advance to inform the hotel in case we didn't know. At 1:30 in the middle of the night, the hotel front desk immediately came out to open the door for us and carry our luggage. Every time we came back from outside, someone would ask if we needed a drink to cool off, which was very considerate.
The room was clean and the space was large enough. The hotel breakfast didn't have many varieties but the products were very good, the pho was great, and the fruit was fresh.
SSteph0813It takes about 50 minutes to an hour to get from the airport to the hotel. It was easy to find the Grab because I had read reviews that the car couldn't come in and would be parked outside. You could see it when you walked into the alley. When we arrived, the service staff initially arranged a room type that was not ours. I realized that there was no window but I had booked a room with windows so I raised the issue immediately. They confirmed that the room was leaking and was fixed an hour later. After that, I came back and moved back to my original room. The waiter kept saying sorry to us that the hot water was not ready in the end, but it was okay as we only stayed for one night. The city is nearby and it is very convenient to go anywhere. We booked a trip to Halong Bay the next morning. The waiter apologized again. It was really nothing. I am very grateful to the service staff. We didn’t have a Vietnamese charger, so they lent me two. The bed was very comfortable. Although it was in the city center, it was very quiet at night. Very good
YYanyongqianI request to upgrade the Deluxe Room with balcony to the Premier Suite with balcony for two nights that incur a charge fee of 710,000 Vietnamese Dong. On the rooftop, there are impressive views of aircraft flying towards the airport and lining up to depart from the airport.
The hotel staff are friendly and have added chairs to the rooftop for plane-spotters' convenience. Here, guests can shoot photos of aircraft flying past the hotel more comfortably.
Access to the hotel from the Domestic terminal is by car at Door E5 but since the door was spoilt, I waited for the car at Door E4 before crossing the lane to wait for the hotel driver and board the car.
SsssoltusThe hotel is good, in the very center of the old quarter, there are 24-hour shops (Circle K) and proven good restaurants around (MET).
The staff is very friendly. For breakfast, they offer one of three dishes: fried eggs, a pancake with banana and traditional Vietnamese noodles or soup (changes from day to day). Also we ordered a transfer to and from the hotel, everything went well.
But there are small ants all over the room, especially on the bed. There are a lot of them. If you leave an ice cream package near the trash can overnight, be prepared to find it full of ants in the morning. These ants also bit me several times. This is what spoiled our stay at the hotel. Also, despite the newness of the room stock, almost all the plumbing is in unwashable stains. Also, be prepared that the tour bus will not be able to enter the hotel street, it is very narrow.
Despite all the advantages, I cannot recommend this hotel for accommodation.
EEkaterina EI chose this hotel to get to the airport the next day without rushing and traffic jams.
The room is clean, the bed linen is clean, the towel is clean and small, there is hot water, good WiFi. Upon check-in, they give you a bottle of water from the refrigerator.
The window of my room looked inside the house, so it was quite noisy. Nothing special - the usual sounds of life: children screaming, karaoke songs, barking dogs, loud conversation of those going up the stairs.
Getting to the airport is convenient. The bike did not come to me, and I called a car, the way to the airport to Terminal 1 took 15 minutes (56,000 dong).
Overall, this is a good option for a transit overnight stay, only next time I will ask for a window facing the street.
Breakfast is not included in the room, but you can ask to cook something, there is a short menu for this. I asked for a banh mi with an egg (45,000) and got coffee in the cafe opposite (30,000). They cooked deliciously, the bread was fresh and brought to me hot.
KKinnie KongA very cost boutique hotel located right in the heart of the old quarter.
For the price of less than 70bucks a night and the distance from all the shops, restaurants and local life, what more can we ask for.
GGuest UserI really liked the location of this place in how it is near a lot of food, fruit, and vegetable stands. I also liked how it is near a lot of mini stores where I can go pick up things that I need. Owner is very nice and loans me things that I needed. She is very respectful to me calling me sir. Hotel maid was very friendly to be around. I like how there was a portable convection stove for me to cook things with. I like how there were silverware, chopsticks, and dishes that I can use to eat my food with. Very good deal to use the washer where it only costs 20,000 dong for the first time and free for additional uses. I liked how it was near that big Winmart grocery store.
Hotel room was very clean. I liked how it had this small space where I can hang my clothes up to dry which was perfect because it was directly underneath the air conditioning unit of the room upstairs where it gives off the heat which dries it faster. Hotel always has a fresh clean set of towels available whenever I need it. Hotel always has toilet paper available whenever I need it.
The only thing that I didn't like was that now and then, there are spiders, where I had to kill 2 of them. I also had to deal with a big spider on my last day. I am somebody that has a fear of spiders.
I might comeback to this hotel in August, September, or beginning of next year when I comeback towards Hanoi in Vietnam and the situation fits for me.
GGuest UserReception were very friendly and helped to book my taxis (cheaper than getting a Grab taxi). The room itself was very clean and housekeeping were attentive and cleared out bins etc everyday.
The location is also very good - near old town area and great to visit by going around the lake.
