Feel like we got ripped off for the price of this motel. $250 or so per night and I wish I stayed back home. It feels like a hospital unit. The bland coloured paper thin walls you can hear every noise from below you, the lights that are so bright you are either blinded by the light or in complete darkness, you cannot find an ounce of comfort or ambiance. The dated fittings, the exposed electrical panel. Unfortunately our kids are sick so we’re stuck in the unit. I would suggest to stay elsewear for the price. I would not pay more than $150 a night.

fabulous, friendly older style motel,, with all amenities , a very short walk to the Hanmer springs spa complex and the village centre. comfortable beds, well equipped with all amenities, very clean. Unfortunately there was a regional power cut , but the owner allowed us to have an early check in and offered us water she had boiled on the bbq, so we could have a cuppa. Also, we were able to have a later checkout. was a sunny pleasant unit with outdoor seating. definitely stay again.

Everyone looks happy here! The rooms are well appointed with plenty of eco friendly features. Very close via a short walk to the thermal pools and village . Would definitely return on our next visit to the area. Beds are comfortable and extra pillows supplied

Cheerful old style motel, clean, not far from all the restaurants, shops and thermal pools. Undercover parking, quiet rooms, and sunny aspect. We thought it would be cold, but we didn’t need to put the heater on. Nice temperature all night. We’d stay there again.

We stayed two nights at the Spa Lodge motel.The owner Simone was very lovely and helpful.we had everything we needed in our studio unit .it was comfortable, quiet ,2 min walk to town.The cleanliness of the room was top notch will definitely be staying again Thanks Simone!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Spa Lodge, Hanmer Springs. After three days tramping and discovering on our return that our ferry sailing to the North Island had been cancelled we found this accommodation. Warmly welcomed by Simone on our arrival to our one bedroom unit, which was extremely clean and spacious. Comfortable beds and unit well appointed. Short walk to all amenities within the Hanmer Springs Village. We will return Many thanks Annette & Mike

Lovely service, room totally suffice and clean, nice touch of free towels in a bag for the hot pools. Super handy to town. Definitely recommend. Nice n quiet while only couple of minutes walk to hot pools and town and we were there Saturday night.

We had an upstairs 2 bedroom unit. It was very comfortable and had a full kitchen. The bathroom was a little small, but we managed. Very helpful and friendly owner and location is excellent - a couple of minutes walk to centre of town and pools. Reasonably priced guest laundry if you need it. Decent wifi. A bit old and dated (like the reviewer) but not an issue. Will stay here again.

Although old and dated, we found this motel to be very clean, great amenities, very comfortable (although couch and chairs bit uncomfortable), very handy to the pools and restaurants, would definitely recommend and will return again
