Lack of international front desk staff for an international brand hotel. Decent stay nothing to wow. The cafe attached to the hotel serves really bad coffee.

Excellent location for the attraction of the West Lake. You may walk to the Lake anytime. The Sky Garden on the roof top also presents astonishing views of the Lake. However, the garden itself has room to improve. Friendly staff and clean rooms. An Espresso machine was available in the room we stayed, but no microwave oven and refrigerator. Toilet flushing was on the weak side, but didn’t have any problems.

It is very near to Westlake which is good but the hotel is quite old.

The breakfast buffet was fantastic, offering a wide variety of choices, including Western dishes, classic Chinese cuisine, and popular local Hangzhou specialties. Every morning was a delightful culinary experience. The housekeeping team did an excellent job keeping the rooms spotless, and I especially want to commend Li Cai Jing (李彩琴). She went above and beyond, taking the time to chat with us and understand how she could make our stay even better. Her warmth and dedication truly made a difference. Overall, this hotel offers top-notch service, great amenities, and an unbeatable location. Highly recommended!

We love the hotel, it is super near to westlake, the hotel come with free photography session at westlake, we enjoy it very much. Conceign - Robin is very helpful!!

It has excellent location and excellent breakfast. It is next to Xihu Square (西湖天地) and within 30mins walk to the famous 河坊街. I believe it is the most value for money hotel in this class inside the Xihu Scene Area. This was my 3rd visit to this hotel, after I visited it 10 years ago. The interior design is still the same. Although it is aged but the team does a good job on the maintenance. The sign of usage is minimal.

Very outdated hotel with very average amenities. Not worth the price but the only plus point is the location.

This hotel location is great, once i enter the hotel the warmest welcome had greeted. Room nicely makeup and very variety of breakfast. Opposite is Westlake located with just cross the under tunnel. Surrounding of westlake having alot of restaurant. We took a ride with RMB 40 per person of 1 round service in small mini truck for a tour in westlake..from here we can save time of walking. Good trip in Hangzhou.

A lovely hotel near the Hangzhou Westlake.. My room on the sixth floor was very good and met my expectations. Breakfast was also a good experience and made all the more by Rajeev and Maria who provided excellent service. Room service is also very good and the staff do a great job. There is a rooftop garden that is worth a visit and in the evening it offers nice views of the surrounding area and Westlake. Happy to visit again.

Unfortunately at my stay there was maintenance making alarm noise at late night

Excellent. I stay here often when in Hangzhou. The service is outstanding. Maria in the lounge is particularly on the job making sure everything is top notch. Could not ask for more.

Bit too pricey for old building but amazing location

Sofitel hotel is conveniently located close to the West lake. The staff is professional and friendly, especially the concierge. The rooms, although non-smoking, unfortunately smell of smoke. Cleanliness could also be improved and bathrooms should be updated. Very good breakfast.
