3-Star Hotels in Hamburg

Great location. Easy to get around and get back to the place at night. If you're a light sleeper I wouldn't recommend the shared rooms, people coming back late at night, the doors close quite loudly. My only complaint is that I received a keycard to the wrong room and walked right into a private suite.. Nobody was there thankfully and I just walked right out, but if I were staying in a private room I would hate to think that strangers could just walk into my room where all my belongings are lying around. Otherwise clean and quite a cool environment.

Very well located outside a subway station (a 1 min walk from the hotel). At walking distance of Cremon St. (many restaurants), Miniatur Wunderland, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg and harbour. Good breakfast and pleasant breakfast space. You can eat at the bar but elementary things like pizza.

Great value for money close to the Zoo.. even though it was perhaps not a topnotch hotel, we thought we got good value for money with spacious and clean rooms and easy access to parking (which is not a given in Hamburg)… breakfast was ok as well :-)

The hotel isn't quite finished yet, but I still felt very comfortable there. The location is great, you can quickly walk to the Alster or take the subway to the city center. There are many practical details in the hotel (kitchen in the room, water dispenser in the breakfast room). The staff is very friendly. Especially for only 3 nights, I thought it was great that no room service was included - you really don't need it in such a short time. The breakfast contained everything you need to start the day. The only thing I missed was a kind of bedside table next to the bed and salt/pepper shakers on the tables at breakfast - there was only one on the buffet, which is a bit impractical. During our three-night stay at the hotel, we had a generally positive experience. The check-in process was smooth, but unfortunately, during check-out, we encountered a long queue, and the staff appeared overwhelmed. Despite this, our room was clean and comfortable, although we did encounter a minor issue with a broken TV remote. Moreover, we noticed that the gel/shampoo container in the shower was empty. Despite these minor inconveniences, the hotel's location was particularly advantageous, situated only a five-minute walk away from the Berliner Tor station. Additionally, we were impressed by the excellent quality of the breakfast provided. Overall, while we encountered some minor issues, our stay was generally comfortable and enjoyable.

Top notch employees. So friendly, so service - oriented, so authentic! I don't want to speak about the hardware: It's new and spotless and the quality of the breakfast for a three star chain is much better than you would expect. But extraordinary are the employees I met today. Front office is super friendly and efficient. Can't remember their names but took a pic of them. They are the right persons at the right place. They walk the extra mile. When it comes to the breakfast area I encountered their team leader Maeretha. She is one of a kind. Extremely enthusiastic with a winning personality she could excel in any field. She is very happy with her job and fulfills her role in an exceptional way. If I would be her father I would send her studying at a Swiss hotel school to become the CEO of Hilton Germany 🇩🇪! It was a pleasure to meet her.

We are super satisfied 😃 Hotel is centrally located, a few minutes walk from the station. The hotel and the room are very clean and all the basics have been filled more than complete. Handtuchs, washlotion and soap are free. Breakfast is ok, find it really great for this low price, there are various sweet and deep offers, all warm cold drinks and cooked eggs, there was even gluten free bread. Price Performance Ratio - really nice! I would like to have a little playground for children or bissl painting something etc.

I wrote a review of this hotel last year and couldn’t fault a thing. I defended the hotel when others commented on the undesirables in the hotel’s surroundings, taking the view that the hotel had little or no control over that. However, this year, our room was smaller than last year, which is not a deal breaker in itself, but it was the fact that we had to walk through the middle of some of those undesirables who were hanging around the hotel doorway that annoyed me. I am no shrinking violet and had no problem moving them out of the way, but can see why others may feel intimidated. Whereas last year I commented that the hotel couldn’t do anything about the surroundings, their own doorway is very much within their control - especially when you consider there are two police stations within yards of the hotel. That situation needs to be resolved. That aside, the hotel continues to be clean, the breakfast plentiful, the location superb and the staff friendly and efficient. The only fly in the ointment is that it needs to take control of their immediate environment.

First of all, the location of this hotel - opposite the main train station - was really good and super convenient. There are lots of eateries and shops nearby (many of which are in the train station concourse). The staff were friendly, though we did have issues on checking in with a member of staff who I believe was new and didn't seem to know the procedure for renting us the safe. But after he made a call to someone, we got it sorted in the end. Breakfast was a typical continental - fine, but nothing special. The hotel itself is very old-fashioned, all classical fixtures, etc, which is lovely. However this also extended to our room's door, which didn't seem to fit particularly well in its door frame and as such let in light and noise, and didn't feel terribly secure. The room itself was fine, not terribly big but enough for what we needed, and clean. The only downside was the cleaner continually letting herself in despite us having the 'do not disturb' sign on the door, and early enough in the day we were still getting ready to go out for the day! Overall, a fine place to stay. If you're just looking for somewhere clean and comfortable to sleep and shower while you're exploring the city, this will do just fine.

All in all was a very nice stay. We had a family room in the 7 floors, here was a room with a double bed besides two single beds. The bathroom is small and clean and is equipped with a shower bathtub. The kitchen line has a refrigerator and two stoveplates, and the furniture is also available. The furniture is simple and useful, so no first class expect. The mattresses were very comfortable and the breakfast buffet included everything you can use for starting the day. The staff could be friendly with each other, but the ranking struggles had no influence on the service. Unfortunately, it may take a little time to get the chairs at their destination, these are not the fastest. At the moment, the 800m metro station Billstedt is replaced by a rail replacement, but it works without any problem. We liked it and I would book there for the second time.
