Great location, 10 minutes walk to the main station. Very friendly staff, nice room.
But there are two things to complain about, on the page where I booked it said check-in time was 2 p.m., so we were there at 2 p.m. and wanted to check in, then it said only from 3 p.m., otherwise there would be a €15 fee.
Second point: the toilet is beautifully modern, but the door does not have a lock to lock and it is milky, so not completely opaque. There is also no ventilation in the toilet, which is very uncomfortable when there are two people in the room.
Overall, a hotel that I can only recommend, especially in terms of value for money!

The hotel makes a very clean and high-quality impression. The location is very close to the main train station and directly overlooks the canal and the water. The rooms are modern, comfortable, clean and the beds are super comfortable. The bathroom is spacious and very clean. What I think is really cool is that you can only use the elevator with your room card. The only thing I have to complain about is the scrambled eggs at breakfast, which taste of nothing and look like they were left to cook in a pan or oven from a cardboard box, and the sometimes limited selection at the buffet for the price. I'm used to something different. Otherwise, it was clean, there was enough space and you didn't have to queue. The staff were always very friendly and accommodating! Thank you very much for that! Overall, a very nice stay and I would recommend it. I would book a room here again any time.

Hotel absolutely not suitable for a business trip. No restaurant options in the hotel. Nearby there is a Peruvian restaurant, which a priori would be not bad. But the menu is in German and no one in the restaurant speaks a single word of English. Conclusion: you have to walk 20 minutes to get to McDonald's. If you are looking for a hotel within walking distance of the city, which is clean, has a decent breakfast and is reasonably priced, you should check in here. If you absolutely have to sleep with the window open and are looking for absolute peace and quiet, you will have to look elsewhere because the hotel is on a busy street. I was able to sleep despite the window being open. The "integrated" underground car park (24 euros per day) means your car is in good hands. I didn't see any free parking spaces nearby. It's a good 10-15 minutes to the main train station, the Mönckebergstrasse shopping street and the Speicherstadt.

In February, I stayed 2 nights at this hotel with my family before the cruise. We booked a family room and were a little surprised by its size (quite small). The first evening we arrived at the hotel where we were greeted by a receptionist who spoke almost no English. We gave her a prepaid voucher and waited. It took a long time for us to be accommodated, the receptionist didn't talk to us. After a while she said that we have to pay the city tax. We said OK and after the calculations of the receptionist we paid 1,5 euro. We specifically asked if it was the total amount or per night and the receptionist told us that it was the total amount. The next day we went out to visit the city, but when we returned to the hotel she informed us that there was a problem with the local city tax and that we had to pay a difference of 1,72 euro. Unfortunately, we again encountered the problem of the English language. The extremely unpleasant surprise was when we received another access card, a sign that our access to the room had been cut off because of this difference. I believe that it was not our fault that the receptionist miscalculated and did not know how to express itself in English. I have traveled quite a lot, but I have not yet found a hotel where the employee at the reception does not speak English at all and the tourist is "punished" because of a mistake made by the staff. Otherwise, the hotel was OK: good location, clean room, varied breakfast.
