Basically a good and inexpensive hotel near the train station. The room was very clean and comfortably furnished. The bathroom was also top notch. Checking in and out was problem-free. The only real drawback is the ambivalent location: the hotel is very close to the main station but it is also on Steindamm, which is probably one of the worst and most hideous places in Hamburg. There are a lot of homeless people, drug ******* and foreign men on the doorstep. Especially after 9 p.m. Definitely not recommended for women and families.
The hotel also lures guests with a photo of the Hamburger Kunsthalle (Glockengießerwall-Ballindamm intersection). This gives the impression that the hotel is near the Inner Alster. This is definitely not the case.
Apart from the ambivalent location, the hotel is very good, especially for the low price.

The single room was good. Boxspring is great. The bathroom was clean. My room was on the street. It is a busy street, but after 9 o'clock in the evening it was quiet.

Very bad, I advise everyone to avoid it. First of all, the hotel is located in the Turkish Middle East Street, which is very chaotic and unsafe. Secondly, the hotel reception is located between the 1st and 2nd floors, and there is no elevator. You need to carry your suitcase and climb dozens of stairs. I originally booked it for 2 days, but I couldn't stand it, so I changed hotels on the second night. The sound insulation is very poor. There were people talking loudly in the corridor after 1:00 in the middle of the night, and there was an intermittent dripping sound from the ceiling, which made it impossible to sleep. I played the recording to the hotel front desk, but they were still unwilling to refund. I definitely don't recommend it.
