The George Hotel ist ein alt ehrwürdiges Gebäude. Es ist sehr gepflegt und sauber. Die Zimmer haben verschiedene Größen je nach Buchung. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Balkon und Blick auf die Alster. Sehr gutes Frühstücksbüffet. Freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal.

Stilvolles Hotel mit sehr nettem Personal und phantastischer Lage. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und warm eingerichtet. Endlich auch mal Platz für die Kleidung! Und die Betten wie bei der Marriott Gruppe üblich sehr gut! Die Bar ist außergewöhnlich bestückt!

Never again would I stay at this hotel. Rooms are outdated (unless you like shag carpet) and dirty. Reception staff is rude. Certainly NOT Marriott quality or trained.

Geht so…unser Zimmer war doppelt belegt, ausser ein Ups Sorry, war es offenbar allen egal ob unser Bad schon benutzt war, Keiner hat’s geprüft, nachdem schon jemand im Zimmer war als wir ankamen. Einer Lampe war defekt, hat uns aber nicht gestört. Restaurant eher Alanya als Dolce Vita, wobei unser freundlicher aber sehr Müde wirkender Kellner, Prego gelernt hat. Essen lala, sehr langsamer Bedienung, zu teuer…besser gleich zu Gallo Nero gehen. Ansonsten ist das Hotel in Ordnung!

The hotel is very nice. We loved the decoration. The rooms are not big but sufficient, the breakfast is not cheap but definitely worth the value. The breakfast staff is super friendly and serving you quick you get fresh coffee and eggs, omelette included in the price. The location is good there is a bus stop very close which takes you to the centre. On the other side of the hotel there is the river and a river restaurant. The bar has a very big offering and it has a great atmosphere. We enjoyed having a beer there. The two negative things for us over that the hotel actually didn’t have any summer blankets in June we got very thick winter blankets. And even if we asked for change, they said they do not have any. It was very warm like that. The other thing is rather minor but it could be an easy fix: the hairdryer was full of dirt and therefore it couldn’t take any fresh air so it switched off after 1 minute then you have to wait again until it cools down. this should be definitely replaced.

Ein sehr leckeres Erlebnis. Es gab wie beschrieben, 3 Sandwiches mit Lachs, gekochten Schinken und Frischkäse/Gurke. Dazu 1 Scone plain, Clotted Cream und Konfitüre. Tiramisu, Creme Brulee und schokolierte Früchte. Alles frisch und sehr köstlich. Dazu der der Tee und wir hatten 1 Glas Champagner Rosè- man gönnt sich ja sonst nichts. Ein köstliches Erlebnis mit wirklich guten Preis-Leistungsverhältnis! Einziges kleines Manko: erst zum Ende wurden wir gefragt ob wir eine 2. Kanne Tee haben möchten. Auf jeden zu empfehlen

Es gab mal eine Zeit, da konnte man The George als stilvolles, gediegenes Hotel bezeichnen - bevor es sich zu einer Art Party-Hotel entwickelt hat. Freitag- und Samstagabend bis in die Nacht schallen aus der eigentlich sehr schönen Bar Techno Beats ohne Rücksicht auf die oberhalb logierenden und dafür noch stolze Preise zahlenden Gäste. An Schlaf nicht zu denken! Sehr schade, wir haben es immer sehr genossen, bei dezenter, chilliger Hintergrundmusik in der Bar zu entspannen. Zum Partymachen gehe ich in einen Club, damit rechne ich aber nicht in einem Hotel dieser Kategorie. Statt Erholung Augenringe erster Güte nach dem Wochenende. Für uns definitiv das letzte Mal und so wie früher weiterempfehlen werden wir das George nicht mehr.
