Picked up from the airport, very nice to be so unburdened. We were welcomed with a delicious fruit juice and a nice breakfast, nothing is missing. Within a few minutes you are on a beautiful beach, very impressive! In the evening we enjoyed a night walk accompanied by a guide from the turtle watch. An absolute must! On request you can take the tuk-tuk to another beach bar near Tangalle or a guesthouse / hotel with a swimming pool on the beach where you can stay for a day. A wonderful place with a pleasant quiet indoor garden, a pleasant food and drink (adviser: the tropical milkshake) and friendly staff that arranged a beautiful safari for us. The large pool is separately located in a small paradise on the other side of the road (less than half a minute walk). Rooms are fine and air-conditioned. Tip: choose safari in Yala Block 5. We were one of only seven jeeps that day, and saw everything we wanted. Details, but the room can just be dressed a little more beautiful and smarter: table next to bed would be fine, the lamps are rough but with the lucks closed the windowless room is very dark.

Had unforgettable time at soorya resort and spa. They are welcoming us to the hotel and offer us some welcome drink. Front desk service 100% Executive chef he is very friendly. We had delicious food in there. Food quality 100% Food and beverage team also supper polite and if they have free time visit our table and check everything Service 100% Swimming Pool is clean. We have stayed in many places all round Sri Lanka, north, south, east, west , middle etc . Having walked past this beautiful place previously on another trip, we decided to return for a more relaxing stay ( compared to what we had taken on previously in Sri Lanka) There is nothing at all to complain about, it’s clean, the room views are fantastic, the price is great ( remember you get what you pay for). The staff are all fantastic. Yes it’s off the beaten track, if you want to party go elsewhere. Of course the waves can be heard ( I’ve seen this complained about) And of course there is no lifts, it’s a tiny place. We initially booked 7 nights and with the hotel being perfect for our stay we extended to 14 nights Scooters available to hire, they will get one delivered for you, airport transfer no problem ( additional cost naturally). Food is fantastic. As with the whole of the southern part of Sri Lanka insect repellent is needed at times. Why go anywhere else
