We booked the Kayaam House for 2 nights because of the great reviews. The welcome on arrival was warm, the room on the 1st floor and the entire complex were beautifully designed. Everything is very clean. The beach, which is directly adjacent to the garden, is one of the most beautiful on the south coast and invites you to take a walk on the beach (be sure to enjoy the sunset). The manager also takes care of his guests. Activities offered by the hotel are expensive. However, we were not at all impressed by the food and the service there. Although there was always a small fruit plate in the morning, the bread basket only consisted of toast that had been roasted for too long/hard and donuts/croissants, which were also dry. The waffles, which were offered on the menu with fresh strawberries and cream, were also dry or almost burnt. After we complained to the waiter, he brought another burnt and tough caramel cream with equally hard banana slices in it without comment. Unfortunately, we had to send it back. Overall, the food was poorly prepared and the staff, who spoke poor English, seemed inept. The lunch/dinner menu is international and expensive - at least for what is ultimately served. Even though the hotel complex is a dream, the service in the restaurant and the food on offer do not meet 5-star standards. It's a shame, we expected more for €380 per night....
