It is lovely to stay in Old Post Office, Halifax. The location is very close to the railway station and Woolshops Shopping Center, also the Halifax Bus Station and Sainsbury's. They are very warm and helpful. I will come again as I come to visit Halifax again!

The hotel is ideally situated in walking distance to most shops and the town centre.
It is not flashy and areas of the hotel are a little outdated but it was ideal for what I needed whilst visiting Halifax. The bed was comfy and the staff are super
friendly! I instantly felt welcome and very comfortable to ask for assistance if I needed it.
I would stay at The Old Post Office again.
Top tip: if you are a solo traveler and rooms are not showing as available, then phone The Old Post Office directly. I was told the rates are £48 per night for solo travelers.

Get what you pay for.
You get what you pay for here. Nice enough top floor room with skylight but not much else appealing. TV with terrible reception, no hot water in the one shared shower, gone off milk sachets and bins weren't emptied or coffee/tea replenished. Could hear everything in room next door.

Budget rooms with good beer in pub
Jackie is a great host, and Jess is a great barmaid. Very welcoming.
Limited parking at the back. Rooms & check-in are accessed through the back door. Double door security to rooms.
Some rooms require lengthy climbs of stairs.
Room was well furnished with TV, miniature shower gel & shampoo, kettle, tea/coffee/sugar/milk & towel. Sockets aren't always convenient, so bring an extension lead. Sink in bedroom.
Shared seperate toilet and shower room both clean & serviceable.
Pub is friendly when it's open - ask at check-in to find out when it's likely to open/close during your stay. Beer is in good form, reasonable variety.

There was a very friendly and helpful welcome from Jackie, the manager. The room was tidy, clean with an extremely comfortable bed. You need to watch your head on the beams in that room but it has superb views and was both warm and remarkably quiet for a pub. Recommended

The room had not been cleaned properly, we found contact lenses and pack on the floor and dust bunnies wafting when movement caused a breeze. The floor was also sticky in parts. While good for access to the Woolshops, cannot recommend a stay here.
