Great location for the piece hall Christmas markets but not as clean as usual PI standards. Particularly around the loo seat and fan in the bathroom. Never usually have any issues. Reception is not manned so you have to buzz for someone to come even at check in time. The restaurant is not accessible from the accommodation, only a short walk outside though. Large potholes on the drive down to the accommodation but was gritted ahead of the snow forecast overnight. Some rooms have their doors to the outside like old school motels but ours was inside upstairs. Quiet and comfortable room. Would stay again, for the price we paid perfectly good for an overnight stay.

After all the great reviews, and staying in a newly-decorated Premier Plus on our last visit away, we were a little disappointed by this hotel. The positives include a very friendly and helpful lady on reception, who sorted out an early check in - though in retrospect, we could have saved the 25% increase of £10 by leaving our belongings in the car, as we went straight out for the day. The location was nice and quiet, and there was plenty of parking. The bed was comfortable, and all linen clean. Phoning a taxi from reception was easy and effective. The room however, was very tired. There was no comfy place to sit (as shown in the gallery photos for this hotel, just a rather useless upright fan - strange for this time of year). There were stains on the nets and curtains, several dead spiders in ceiling corners, and unearthly stains on the desk chair. There was also a horrible smell of drains from the bathroom, which abated after using the shower at night, but had returned by morning. These details were fed back at check-out, and we got an apology… Sadly, the breakfast at the Brewers Fayre was not the usual hot buffet choice, and “unlimited” isn’t quite the same if you have to order it in advance. And so, we declined eating the breakfast that we had booked, and left several hours before the allocated check out time. In retrospect, and having highlighted our grievances about the room, we would have expected the £10 early check in to have been reimbursed. We sadly wouldn’t return here if in the area again.

Very unique hotel as they have rooms on the ground floor that has their own car park. We really liked staying in Room 16, right next to the canal. They also have a very friendly and helpful staff, we got checked in by a lass with purple hair and the next day we got greeted by a lovely Lithuanian lady who seemed to be the manager. All in all, will come back here

Stayed here after a concert at Halifax, I came in early 11am and wanted an early check in. We’ve been told this is subject to availability but they had some clean rooms so we paid £10 for early check in which we don’t mind. The receptionist Lorraine was fantastic, great service and we had a laugh with her. A credit to your company I must say! The room itself was incredible, spotless and clean can’t complain much. We really like the outdoor ground floor room where you can park your cars outside your room, it was like a motel in America.

Good location, not too far from the town centre but just quiet enough to be secluded. Staff we had in the reception is Lorraine and she was kind and efficient, helped my elderly mother get a downstairs room and helped with bags. No complaints here. will come back soon 👍🏼
