I stayed in a capsule hotel type dormitory, but it wasn't too small and had multiple outlets, individual lights, and lockers for hanging clothes, so it was clean and comfortable. As for security, there was a password at the entrance and the room, and there was also a space where you could put ski boots and boards in the entrance. The bath was only a shower, but there were 3 and it was not crowded. The washer/dryer was available for 300 yen, which was very helpful. The wifi was comfortable, the kitchen was easy to use, the tableware was substantial, and the refrigerator was large and sufficient. I would like to use it again.

Main door and room door were all managed by code keys. No need to walk around with physical keys, but need to remember the code. Kitchen, toilets, shower rooms, basins, and pots for hot water were all shared, but very clean. We were able to borrow the bikes from this guest house for a couple of hours and did a shopping at the main supermarket in Hakuba. No shops around this guest house and we didn't have a car, so these bikes were saviours. Please note that there were only three bikes available, and it might be a bit competitive to rent the bike. It looks like that the guests on the day were all from different countries, so I felt a bit of multiculturalism at this guest house.
