The price is quite expensive during the snow season. The room with a big bed is 5000+, and adding a sofa bed is 300 more. This hotel is marked as a four-star hotel, but it is marked as a three-star hotel by Google search. It is not run by local Japanese people, and the sanitary environment is really average. The large bath is sticky, there are floating hairs in the pool, and towels are thrown everywhere. The room uses carpets, but the vacuuming is not thorough. I have to wear a mask and turn on the purifier to feel comfortable because of dust allergies. The breakfast is all European, without any Japanese soup or the like, and mainly cold food. I wanted to use the dryer, but when I entered, there were socks all over the floor, and the dryer was full of black hair. On the day of the pick-up, it was promised to arrive in 15 minutes, but I waited for 30 minutes and called again to say that there were other things on the way. Not recommended, if you want to come to Hakuba, it is recommended to book another hotel.

It is very convenient, there is a ski equipment store at the door, Bafang Ski Resort is one kilometer away, and there are many restaurants nearby. However, the food in the hotel is really bad, and there is no bathtub.

The hotel is a 5-minute walk from Hakuba Happo Station. The hotel has a bus that can be used at any time. The facilities are rated 4.5 points because the refrigerator in the hotel is really noisy. I am considered a deep sleeper, but I was woken up by the refrigerator in the middle of the night. Everything else is good. You can walk to Lawson. Because I went there on November 1st, many stores were closed, but you can foresee how many people there will be during the ski season.

We recently returned from a ski week in Hakuba and absolutely loved our stay at The Happo. The location was absolutely perfect for us. Right in the core of the village with many transportation options to nearby resorts in the valley. This includes the hotel shuttle to Happoone, circulating hotel shuttles to other resorts that stop at the front door (Hakuba 47 and Goryu), as well as a short 5-minute walk to the bus station to access all other resorts in the valley. The property itself is beautiful with a fantastic onsite onsen on both the men's and women's side which includes hot pools, cold pools, showers and a sauna. Breakfast was delicious with eggs prepared to order and an extensive buffet of pastries, salads, fruits, juices, and some Japanese offerings. The ski lockers were large enough to fit 4 pairs of skis and included boot dryers along with space for jackets, helmets and other gear. The room itself was a comfortable place to boot up in the morning with long benches for ample seating. Our room was compact, but included a king bed with no center crease (i.e. not just two twin beds pushed together). The shower was strong, the TV large, and the bed was cozy. Plenty of places to charge electronics, the wardrobe contained amenities for the onsen, and there was a massager to help ease sore muscles. Finally, staff was extremely friendly and were able to assist with any requests or questions we had during our stay. This was our first trip to the Hakuba valley and we would definitely consider staying at The Happo for a future visit.

We had 5 night in one of the suites in The Happo. The room was large and well appointed. The staff were fabulous. We used the hotel shuttle bus every day. Staff organised resistant bookings and shuttles etc for us. Provided advice about various locations to visit. The restaurant onsite is good and not overly expensive for Japan.

The Happo was the perfect base for exploring Hakuba area for the first time. Modern hotel with the features needed, only ask would be a gym but plenty of options to use the nature gym, rented a bike from Rythm next door, excellent service in general with shuttle service available.

Went there over the weekend for a ski trip with the boys.. The newly refurbished hotel was neat, with slick designs and a super relaxing bar area. The restaurant serving a wide selection of breakfasts was a great way to kick off the day. The rooms are very nice and spacious that are also very functional in the layout.. The Hotel is ideally located right in the center of town. Overall the best thing i liked was the friendly ,professional service of the staff. and i would have to say the in house Onsen! Highly recommend The Happo to any one thinking of going to Hakuba. Looking forward to my next visit.
