They gave us special room service (hotel suggestion). However, the timing of the meals was bad and we didn't enjoy the taste very much. Also, the alcohol was very expensive, even considering that it was a ryokan price. The large public bath was generally rundown and not cleaned well. The bathroom was just cold because of the season, and my friend, a nurse, was always worried that the elderly guests would get heat shock.
