The room was huge. Japanese style. There is a special person to make the beds at night. Because we booked the room late, there were not many options. But this is already very good. When I opened the window, I could see the mountains and water like a waterfall. I thought it would be noisy, but when I closed the windows and door, it was very quiet. They have tatami rooms with beds, which is quite special in retrospect. Unlike other hot spring hotels, you can sleep directly on the tatami.
The walking distance to Hakone Yumoto is farther than expected. It may take 15-20 minutes if you walk slowly. The shuttle bus is basically unreliable.
The public hot spring is on the top floor. There are outdoor areas, but one has a terrace with a better atmosphere. There are popsicles in the lobby lounge area.
The breakfast is very good. There are many varieties. I remember that the curry rice and dumplings are good. There are also many Western choices.
There was a small episode that the ceiling light in the room could not be turned off. Later, the front desk came to help. Fortunately, it was solved.
It is recommended to reduce the number of round trips from the hotel to Hakone Yumoto Station when planning the itinerary. It is very tiring and time-consuming.
