Hakone Reinanso

The seat is a short walk from the station, and it's a bit tiring to drag the suitcase but it's acceptable. Most of the guests staying here are Japanese, and there are few foreigners. The dinner and breakfast provided by the hotel are both rich and delicious, which is a reason to come again.

The price is very cheap, which is rare in Hakone these days, and if you are a member of the Tokyo Pension Association, you can get an additional 10% discount. I was worried about what kind of accommodation it would be, but the room I was shown, Room 307, was in a great location overlooking the Tanigawa River, with an 8 tatami mat room + 2 tatami mat room with two chairs and a desk. I stayed here for two nights. The room was renovated, clean, and comfortable. The room had a washlet toilet, a refrigerator, and a kettle. There was no bath or shower. The bath in the basement has a large bath and a small bath, which are alternated between men and women. This was also renovated, clean, and comfortable. When I visited, early-blooming cherry blossoms were blooming next to the large open-air bath, and I enjoyed floating petals in the bath. The food was a little small, which was just right for seniors. I wish breakfast could be served a little earlier than 7:45.

Since I stayed in Hakone the night before, I stayed at this inn for the second night, with a check-in time of 13:00. The last time I stayed there, I stayed in a Western-style room with a view of the switchbacks of the Hakone Tozan Railway, but this time I stayed in a room with a good view of the Hakone mountains (Myojogatake) on the other side. The room was a Japanese-style room with 8 tatami mats and a wide veranda. The baths are alternated between men and women. There is also an open-air bath, and the hot spring is soft and nice, so you can relax. The baths are open until 8:30 the next morning, so you will have to take a bath before breakfast. For meals, I recommend the upgraded course. Since it is originally a reasonable inn, it is not expensive even if you upgrade. Dinner is from 6:00 to 19:30 and ends at 19:30. Almost everything is set on the table, but some dishes are served later. The rice pot is on fire. There were small potato bulbs in the rice pot. For alcohol, 300cc of local sake was 1200 to 1300 yen. I drank local sake last time, so this time I had beer. Breakfast is served from 7:00 to 8:30. It is a Japanese set meal, and juice, milk, fruit, and coffee are self-service. It is a well-balanced breakfast. The food and hot springs are good, so I will use it again.
