Shiki Resort Gora Saika

Due to a breakdown in the women's bath, the baths were divided into separate times for men and women. It was awful not being able to bathe freely during this summer season. They explained that it suddenly broke when we checked in, but other reviews had similar issues, so perhaps it had been broken for a while? They explained that they would contact us once the repairs were complete and we could use both, but when we checked out, it still hadn't been repaired. Since we booked online, it was disappointing that they couldn't contact us in advance by email or phone to apologize. The dinner was poor in both quantity and taste compared to the price, and only about four groups had dinner, which was low for this time of year. The foreign staff didn't say much, but they worked hard. The room was spacious, but the air conditioner was dusty and had a strange smell, so we left the windows wide open.

It's in the Gora area, a little far from Gora Station, but within walking distance. Gora Park is nearby, and it's in a quiet area. The plan includes dinner and breakfast. Both were Japanese food, and the portions were just right, not so much that you couldn't finish it, but delicious. The hot spring water is milky white and cloudy, with plenty of hot spring deposits, drawn from Owakudani. The quality of the spring is very good! We were able to enjoy karaoke and hot spring table tennis at a reasonable price, and my grandchildren were happy. The Japanese-style room was a good size, but there were no usable outlets in the room, so my daughter, having read reviews, brought a table tap with her, which was helpful. As they operate with a small number of staff, it is recommended that you check in and out at an appropriate time.
