Stay Here! Very comfortable room! I upgraded myself to a single room with private bathroom. Much nicer than my Amsterdam hotel. As a solo, I was nervous about safety, but even though the hostel was mostly full, it was quiet all the time. I felt very safe! The staff was excellent, very friendly and helpful. Nice shared spaces. I went to a film screening at the hostel, which was really interesting! Location was perfect for me. Quiet street just off a major canal. Short walk to the main square, and many restaurants.

They were so welcoming friendly and accommodating in the hotel very nice attention people and atmosphere I recommend this place if you want to enjoy Harlem in the best way. It is a place you can walk anywhere from and has very beautiful views of the canals

A very pleasant place to stay. I have stayed at Hello I’m Local multiple times while studying in the Haarlem area, and every time has been very enjoyable. The rooms are clean and comfortable; the shower and toilet as well. It’s also a very nice spot because: It’s ideally located in the center of Haarlem. You can easily relax in the shared spaces. You have access to the kitchen and fridge. You can get a good breakfast in the morning. The staff are very helpful and laid-back.

Amazing staff and great service! Feels like a hidden gem and so much more comfortable than staying in Amsterdam. Best place in Haarlem by far - easy to access the center of town and great cappuccinos every morning. The rooms were super clean and great common areas to hang out in.

BED BUGS!! DO NOT STAY HERE!! The owner and staff KNEW there were bed bugs and STILL allowed my boyfriend to stay there. Now we have to deal with not spreading this to our house. It looks nice from the pictures but do not be fooled, THIS PLACE SUCKS.

Super gastvrij Heel attent we kregen een upgrade vanwege een speciale gelegenheid. We hebben genoten fijne bedden alles was schoon goede douche. Heerlijke verse appeltaart. Erg aardig personeel. Je kan er leuk zitten prettig muziekje er bij.

We stayed in the Frans Hals room on May 13-14. For some reason, an alarm would sometimes sound when opening the door. The room was hot. There was no fan, but there was a door that opened to the outside. Pros - big shower Cons - door alarm, hot, no fan, bed too close to wall, no shelf in shower
