Poor experience at this hotel. First room service argued they had cleaned the room when they had clearly not and it took photographic evidence for staff to believe us. Also discovered that their check in staff charged the full price room as a deposit ($304) but only mentioned charging $70 at check in; this is an issue as the room was prepaid.
The room itself was comfortable and the pool and gym good. But poor and incompetent treatment by staff would put me off choosing to stay here again.

The hotel is a historic resort with a beautiful and natural environment, hot springs, Victorian architectural style, and well-arranged villas and buildings. There are also entertainment and leisure facilities for children. There were no twin rooms when we checked in, so the front desk upgraded us to a family villa and added an electric heater. The service was very thoughtful and meticulous, the room was clean and warm, the bedding was comfortable, and it was a very good stay. I recommend everyone to stay there.

Booked the standard lake facing room - excellent view, right next to the lake. Room looks nicer than in pictures … could have been slightly upgraded since. Toilets a little dated but still all good. Requested for a second floor room for greater privacy. Ground floor rooms have direct access straight out to lake, but less privacy as people can walk right pass the rooms. But stairs only, no lift. Also, it would have been good to remind guests to please keep balcony door closed in evening so the midgets and flying insects don’t get in. I learnt the hard way.

There was a heated pool so I had a great time staying warm.
It was close to the lake, so the view was nice, and there was a supermarket nearby, so shopping was easy. It was good

Hotel location is good, just on the edge of Lake Taupo, you can see the lake view when you go out, there is a hot spring pool in the room to let you bubble for free, but we did not soak, four people stay, a total of three beds, a large bed 2 small beds, the room can cook, very convenient

This is the most amazing hotel in our New Zealand trip. Taopo city has a good impression. The hotel is modern in design, the room is very spacious, and the facilities are complete. From the bath to the bedding, they all reflect high-end quality. There is also a swimming pool from low heat. It's a pity that I only stayed for one night. I also want to say that the hotel reception staff is very enthusiastic!

It has complete facilities and even a kitchen. If I have to say a disadvantage, the sound insulation is not very good and the noise of cars on the road is a bit loud at night.

GGuest UserThe hotel is close to Lake Taupo and it is very convenient to walk around the lake in the morning. The room is well-equipped for cooking, clean and hygienic, and the Indian waiters are warm and welcoming. But there is a charge for washing clothes.

AAnonymous UserThe location is excellent. I stayed in this hotel before the epidemic. I stayed in a three-bedroom apartment on the first floor that time. It was very good. This time we only booked a two-bedroom apartment on the second floor. The facilities and equipment are a bit old, but the bedding and towels are all new and high-quality. There are pots, bowls, induction cookers, etc., hot water in the spa bath and other facilities are very convenient. Downstairs There are washing machines and dryers available, please note that they are available from 8am to 8pm. There is also a BBQ for guests to use, and it is very convenient to check in and out. The cleaning staff are very friendly, but the front desk staff are not too enthusiastic. The overall experience is not bad. I will stay here again next time I come to Taupo. Ctrip has an advantage in price👍

YYANGSIThe hotel location is very good, right by the lake and there are two big trees at the door. It is about 5 minutes walk from the swimming area and the commercial area where there are many eating places. The room was large and cleaned. The parking space is a bit small. The sunset at the door was beautiful.

There are brown stains and mucus in the refrigerator
The bathroom is ok, and the bedding is clean
The big bed is big, and there is a single sofa bed that can be opened, but they are very soft and uncomfortable to sleep
The bathroom provides bath gel, shampoo, toilet paper and towels, but no hair dryer
The public kitchen is not very clean, there are food residues on the table and stove, there are kitchen utensils and cutlery, but we didn't use them, we brought our own pots and cooked breakfast
It's almost 5 o'clock when I checked in at the front desk, but they said the room was not cleaned up, and I waited for more than 20 minutes before I went in. Because there are 3 people, they sent us an extra bath towel in the middle.
There was no one at the front desk when I checked out in the morning. It seems that there was someone from 10 o'clock to 8:30 in the evening. I put the room card in the box at the door and checked out by myself
The parking lot is under the house, and it seems that it can park about 10 cars
It's okay, it's definitely not as good as the same price in China
