My friend and I are traveling around France for a couple of weeks. We picked this hotel based on reviews and price. It was a good location to drive to Omaha Beach and the surrounding area. We each had a room with a king size bed, a very large bathroom with a wonderful shower and separate large tub. Free Coffee, tea and water provided in the room and a small refrigerator with snacks and drinks available at a modest price. Beds were very comfortable and room temp was great. Very quiet location and free parking. The best thing was Julia, the front desk staff person. Extraordinary service and assistance with everything we needed including ordering Thai food from a local restaurant because the restaurant was closed on Sunday night and Monday night, the two nights we were there. She deserves a GIANT Thank You and a Gold Star! I would definitely stay there again if I ever return to France.

Hotel is not bad, French chain, quasi three stars, room is small, breakfast is ok. About 10 minutes from Kaoang Railway Station, we walk about 40 minutes. Because the city does not seem to be big, so walk to the World War II Memorial for about 40 minutes, when the city should be built in the subway, it looks a bit messy. There is a Chinese restaurant selling beef noodles nearby, which is quite authentic and the price is great.

PpublicheroAs often happens in hotel room stays, I am not accurate at tossing Kleenex into inconveniently located trash bins. For this I was accused of leaving the room “very dirty” and staining the carpet, and a 50 euro charge was made against my credit card for room damage to “deep clean” the room. When I challenged this, I was sent a video that indeed showed the Kleenex tissue on the floor and a clothes hanger that hadn’t been put back. The video was absent any demonstration of damage or stains. I had declined maid service for the 3 night stay and my sense is that the maid was annoyed that I hadn’t used the trash bin against the wall under the desk, and that I was being punished for this.

I booked the day in the morning, and when I arrived, I could come often (If a friend on the ground cannot get me hey) The staff is laughing and very nice! I wonder if your hotel would not be matter to organize small furry conferences with ”NormandieFurs” I'm sure that would give place to a super moments!

MMissGSouthamptonWe really enjoyed our stay, the room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It is ideally located and walkable to lots of attractions, restaurants and bars. Also very handy for public transport. The staff were extremely helpful and took time to tell us about the local area and answer any queries we had. The breakfast tray delivered to our room each morning was typically french and very nice. We would recommend.

JJPursloveWe arrived late (2330) and were greeted with a smile, which was so satisfying that we had booked a caring establishment. This was indeed true. Every member of staff met our, and we are sure would meet yours too if you book this hotel. Location is good, central for buses, shops (Especially for ladies), restaurants (some do not open on Sunday or Mondays) a supermarket, car parking. Nothing was any trouble. If you go to Caen stay here.

GGuest UserHotel in a quiet area, very decent bedding, possibility of making a small coffee or small kitchen. We appreciated the small terrace for the rooms on the ground floor. A little far from the city center of Caen, especially when you have walked a lot during the day, we advise you to park at the marina where there are many parking spaces. Excellent restaurant in the Vaugueux district: avenue 21. In the evening, numerous bars on rue Ecuyere and place Saint Sauveur. Lively town center, numerous shops.

GGuest UserFunktionales Hotel mitten in der Stadt, ideal gelegen, um die Stadt zu Fuß zu erkunden. Mit dem Auto etwas umständlich zu erreichen, Tiefgarage direkt um die nächste Ecke. Zimmer sind einfach, eben typisch für die Kette, Frühstück war reichlich, Service war zuvorkommend. Es gibt mehrere Ibis Hotels in Caen, die Wahrscheinlichkeit im Falschen zu landen ist hoch.

My son booked 2 rooms 1 superior room and 1 double. Arrived could not get in. Finally someone opened the door, then we found envelopes with keys left on the side. Not a great start. Went up to the room and the room next to us had at least 12 people in shouting and screaming, however onwards in to the room. The smell as we entered was of urine, it stunk, the toilet was leaking, the balcony was disgusting and also stunk of urine. The arguing next door was getting worse, I opened the door and there was 2 men fighting, it was now feeling very unsafe we decided to just leave. It actually looked like a immigration centre , there were cars in the car park with various men in who were clearly selling stuff by the amount of people coming out of the immigration centre to go to them. Not a safe feeling for my family. The photos on the internet have clearly been photo shopped as they don’t give a true reflection of the actual rooms. Would not recommend to my worst enemy. Booked another hotel in Caen the Ibis at an extra cost of £350.00 but what the hell, at least we was safe
