CColin MichaelIt was a little surprising to find such a well designed and appointment bed and breakfast in the middle of an authentic village. The on-site manager was amazing and made sure that we were comfortable and well fed the entire trip (including organizing a meal in the home of a local villager). The design aesthetic is beautiful, the windows wrapping the entire building give unparalleled views. The breakfast is simple but well prepared and filling. It features rice noodles, fresh fruit, hard boiled and fried eggs and a savory broth.
The hiking nearby is a little fake? So come to be relaxed and enjoy the slow life of a 500+ year old community. See still in-tact wells, bridges, and granaries that have supported this community that entire time. The cloth dyeing business nearby is a fun excursion and was probably the highlight of our trip. Meet the owner who is a woman who left academia to empower local women in the art of dyeing fabric and creating small businesses.

The road quality was very good, but there were many bends. The scenery along the way was superb, but I had to concentrate on driving and control the speed. I called the B&B at the parking lot, and the manager pushed the electric luggage cart to pick us up to the B&B. The first three photos were taken from the parking lot to the B&B front desk to handle the formalities. Because we arrived at 10:30 in the morning, the guests in front of us had not checked out yet. After we completed the formalities, we went to the upstairs of the front desk to rest, and met the owner of the hotel and the beautiful yoga teacher. There is no air conditioning upstairs, and there is no need for air conditioning. On a hot day, it is enough to turn on the smallest electric fan. Seeing us going upstairs, the owner was very considerate to open the windows one by one, and immediately there was a cool breeze blowing, which was the kind of mountain breeze that the human body feels very comfortable. It's so cool! The fifth photo is the ”Miao Family Cuisine” set meal ordered by other guests on the terrace on the second floor. It's so cool to sit in the ”scene” with relatives and friends to eat! It turned out that these guests checked out after lunch. The whole wall of floor-to-ceiling glass, outside is the balcony, and you can see the Miao village and terraced fields. The waiter brought us mountain spring water, which is convenient for us to make tea and coffee in the room. It is provided in the guest room. We sat on the balcony drinking tea and coffee all afternoon, waiting to take pictures of the sunset, but the weather was not good enough and we didn't take them. The B&B has yoga activities in the morning and evening, which need to be booked in advance. Just say it in the group and go there at the agreed time. It is in another house in front. We had three meals in the homestay, namely Miao home-style, braised duck, and beef in sour soup. Each time brought me surprises. The chef's skills here are very good, and the dishes made are at the level of boutique high-end homestays. Thumbs up! Every waiter was very polite and obviously well-trained. Because the big bed was facing the floor-to-ceiling glass, we were awakened by the sunrise in the morning. The National Day went, the stockade was very crowded, the boss explained a lot of parking matters to avoid detours. The boss helped with the luggage, and the family was very good. The room was clean and tidy. Some table feet are very intimately stuck to anti-collision stickers, not afraid of children running around. I accidentally took some small objects away. WWongyThis is the best hotel you will get in Rongjiang. I would say the standard of fit out is similar to a Atour hotel for example. However, this is a brand new property and has a lot of gaps and it feels like the hotel is at a pre opening stage rather than a fully opened hotel.
The Landry in very small basically only one washing machine and one dryer. But after each wash there was water leaks all over the floor as they have not installed the water pipes properly.
The rooms are clean but air con keeps on switching off and you need to keep on changing cold settings to turn it back on. Another annoying thing is the toilet light. Even when turned on the sensors will turn off the light halfway through a shower. So you need to wave the sensor to turn the lights on again.
The reception staff are friendly but clearly lack the polished service. I purchase two nights and added to additional night which I paid at the hotel. But the evening staff don’t seem to communicate with the morning shift. I received a call on the third day around lunchtime asking why I didn’t check out when I paid for two extra nights at reception.
There is supposed to be a gym but no equipment and the football field below is nice but entrance to the field is not yet setup.
Finally, breakfast is very very basic so don’t expect much. Noodles, eggs and a few veggie dishes but quality is quite low.

But the water heater is electric, which is not enough for one person to take a shower and wash their hair. The water gets cold very quickly, and the next person to take a shower will probably have to wait 10-20 minutes.
There is another point that has nothing to do with the hotel: people with light sleep will feel a little overwhelmed. Many residents nearby raise chickens, or roosters, which start crowing at around 1 a.m. and stop crowing around 6 a.m. 😂

RRichard LLThis is a cheap hotel, and for the price it's worthwhile. My room was clean and suitable for one night stay. There was a problem with the air conditioning remote which took a long time to resolve, and it was difficult to heat the room thoroughly even when it was working. The proprietor is helpful, though be aware you may need to call her when you arrive if she's not at reception. The facilities in the room are basic, and I needed to ask for a kettle.

AAnonymous UserVery satisfied, the service attitude of the lady at the front desk was very good, she explained the introduction patiently, and responded to all requests. The room was clean and spacious, the shower had a large amount of water, and it was equipped with a toilet mat and disposable bath towels for guests to choose from. There were two pillows, one high and one low, and the breakfast was rich. I plan to stay in this hotel next time. The transportation is convenient, there is free parking, there is a large farmer's market next to it, and there is a delicious pancake next to it.

GGuerriniSuper nice and local experience in Dali Dong village. The shared bathroom was not a big deal, guests were not many and it felt almost like having a private one. I loved the shared space, where I could work with my laptop and enjoy the sunlight and river sound. The hotel personnel is very kind. Food is not provided/available but it’s possible to eat in local people’s home or the few “restaurants”available. Highly recommended. The room is not equipped with an AC, just a small fan that positioned close to the bed would do the job.

GGuest UserThere were four of us staying together. We booked a room with a double bed. The room was very clean and had a private bathroom, which was great. The boss was very nice. At first, he was afraid that he would not be able to find the hotel location and picked us up at the station. We were not familiar with the village. , in case we were not familiar with it, he took us to the village to guide us, and the service was very considerate.
