My first time in Milano and staying at this accommodation for the first time as well (it functions as student accommodation during the semester). Was here for my birthday and I was unfortunately unwell when I arrived. I think all the travelling had finally got to me by this point in my trip! I was really grateful that I was able to check in early as I had been travelling non-stop since 8pm the night before from Lyon. I think overall a good first impression (staff were nice) and my only gripe was the lack of air conditioning in my loft room. The corridor was 20 degrees cooler than in my room and I was even tempted to sleep in the hallway - this is how hot it was in my room (I didn't despite my desperation). I did call in to reception on my first day and maintenance personnel did come up to take a look but it didn't change anything as the room was not cooling at all during my three night stay (even with the window closed). I was here in the first week of Aug so unbearable in the height of summer and based on this part of my experience I wouldn't stay here again. The actual room and bathroom is great (no kitchen equipment e.g. utensils but no biggie if you're not planning on self-catering). Other than this, the location is great as it is only a 10 minute walk to Fondazione Prada (a must-see) and there a lot of eateries and restaurants in walking distance. Supermarkets are also very close by. I didn't navigate the public transport to get here from Milano Centrale (I used a taxi to get here and then a taxi app to get back to the station) but I'm sure it is possible to get here using public transport which is much cheaper.
Wonderful hotel, very large spacious rooms, there is a kettle and coffee machine, comfortable beds, also liked that there is a gym. The staff were very nice and polite, also treated us to a welcome drink. The only minus - one of the nights because of the rain from above it started to drip from the ceiling, we had to wait an hour for the leak to stop. But overall, the rating of the hotel is rather positive, despite this minus

Nice hotel service and nice location. Near the train and the bus station.
They call it the Eternal City. A phrase that feels almost trite until you stand alone, utterly dwarfed, beneath the Pantheon’s impossible dome, or trace your fingers over travertine worn smooth by two thousand years of passing hands. Rome isn’t just eternal; it’s immediate, visceral, a theatre of existence where the past isn’t preserved behind glass, but bleeds passionately into the vibrant, chaotic present. And experiencing it solo? That’s not loneliness; it’s liberation. It’s a conversation, intimate and profound, between your soul and the city’s timeless spirit.
My dialogue began at dawn, chasing the first honeyed light spilling across the Piazza Navona. Alone, you move differently. Unburdened by consensus or compromise, I followed whims: detouring down a cobbled *vicolo* heavy with the scent of baking cornetti, drawn by the sudden, breathtaking reveal of the Trevi Fountain, still relatively quiet. Tossing my coin wasn’t just a tourist ritual; it was a whispered promise to the city, a silent pact sealed in the cool morning air and the fountain’s roaring majesty. Solitude amplifies these moments – the crisp *click* of your heels on ancient stone, the unfiltered awe as Bernini’s marble figures seem to surge from the water, frozen in divine drama. You hear the city’s own heartbeat, the murmur of awakening life, the distant clang of a baker’s shutter, the splash echoing in the vast basin.
Wandering towards the Roman Forum, the sheer weight of history becomes palpable, almost a physical pressure. Alone, you can truly stop. You can perch on a sun-warmed block of tufa, gaze at the skeletal arches of the Basilica of Maxentius reaching defiantly towards a piercing blue sky, and let your imagination run riot. No commentary needed, no shared speculation required. Here, amid the ghosts of senators and centurions, the silence isn’t empty; it’s resonant. You feel the centuries compress. A stray cat sunning itself on Julius Caesar’s altar becomes a perfect, poignant metaphor for time’s relentless, indifferent march. The Colosseum looms nearby, its brutal grandeur undeniable. Observing it solo, you feel its dual nature more acutely – the awe-inspiring engineering marvel and the chilling echo of spectated suffering. It prompts introspection, a quiet contemplation on humanity’s enduring contradictions, impossible amidst a crowd’s chatter.
Then, the Pantheon. Stepping inside is like walking into the mind of God, conceived by mortals. The sheer scale, the perfection of the dome – that oculus open to the heavens – is humbling beyond words. A shaft of sunlight pierces the dusty interior, illuminating motes dancing like celestial dust. Sitting alone on a bench, head tilted back, the immensity washes over you. The whispers of fellow visitors fade into a reverent hush. You feel infinitesimally small yet profoundly connected to the generations who stood precisely here, awestruck, for millennia. Solitude allows this space for pure, unadulterated wonder. It’s not just seeing; it’s *feeling* the architectural genius, the spiritual ambition made stone.
But Rome isn’t just monumental stones; it’s vibrant, messy, delicious life. Crossing the Tiber into Trastevere, the atmosphere shifts. Narrow streets twist like tangled yarn, laundry flutters like colourful flags between ochre buildings, and the air thickens with the garlicky perfume of *cacio e pepe* and frying *carciofi*. Solo travel makes you porous. You notice the old men arguing passionately over espresso at a tiny bar, the clatter of plates from a hidden trattoria kitchen, the effortless elegance of a Roman woman navigating the cobbles in impossible heels. You slip into a *salumeria*, point at mysterious cheeses and glistening olives, and assemble a picnic feast. Finding a quiet step on Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere, watching life swirl around the ancient basilica as you savour pecorino sharp enough to make your eyes wa

Great location with a supermarket beside it and the metro just 5 mins away. Room is clean and space is acceptable. The only minus point is the small parking garage which can be a challenge for 7 seaters but still manageable if you have someone to guide you.

Motel in the countryside area, very convenient for parking your car for free, with reception always open and quick in carrying out the registration operations on arrival. Large room and logically communicating with the corridor that goes towards the breakfast room. Breakfast full of sweet and savory and fresh fruit and excellent coffee and excellent hot drinks. Soundproofed rooms. Wide screen TV with lots of programs. A pleasant experience. Polite and affable staff.

The location is a bit disappointing. However, the hotel service was the most satisfactory among the hotels I have stayed at. Please note that the shuttle bus runs from the nearby bus stop under the overpass to the nearby station.
However, the breakfast preparation is too slow and frustrating. Other hotels start at 6-7, but they say breakfast starts at 7, but in reality, they only open the door and breakfast is not properly prepared until 7:30.
I do not recommend this to those who have to start their day early.

One of Milan’s new hidden gem. The location is nearby Chinatown and corso como. So it’s not close to the shopping district and Duomo area. But the service is comparable to other 5 star hotels. Very attentive staff patient and helpful. Rooms are great, extremely comfortable and size is pretty big for European hotel rooms. I recommend this hotel for anyone coming to Milan!!

LLenaKasselThis was just an amazing hotel! We were incredibly pleased! The case when we liked everything! The food in the restaurant was delicious, the rooms were beautifully decorated. Everything was clean, fresh and new! What was especially pleasing: shampoo, shower gel, body cream, soap were organically certified (Cosmos Organic), and in our time it is especially valuable to find cosmetics in hotels without aggressive additives, this is very captivating. We didn't even have to get out our jars of cosmetics. I wish this hotel further prosperity!
GGuest UserThe hotel is located outside of Milan. It fitted well for us as a stop on the travel back home. Positive: the pool (without service), the large park with a playground for children, the overall cleanliness, general appearance, locked parking space. The hotel changed newly to the Ibis Styles chain and we had e.g. no information leaflet in the room. The old hotel signs are still to remove. Some construction work was going on outside. Everything looked a bit unprepared. The once available restaurant is now closed.
We chose that hotel among others for its presumable ”free charging” offering for EV. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case with the Ibis Style chain. They still have four EV-slots for charging (AC) but claim around 1 Euro per kWh which seems a prohibitive price for AC-charging in Italy as even DC-charging is available for 30-40ct/kWh (see market giants ENEL X Way oder BeCharge with their attractive packages). This is like paying 4-5 Euro per liter of Diesel in comparison - you could just feel robbed. We decided to charge at a Be Charge HPC charger at the ”near” (7km) Coop supermarket. There are more possibilities e.g. around Linate Airport. But of course it's the best to charge along the highway before your arrival - once you know about that unreasonable pricing (we didn't).
GGuhuijiwanjiaBooked this for a friend. Very close to the airport. The crew also stayed in the hotel. There was a very friendly waiter. One morning, there was a fire alarm. The hotel used three languages to announce it, but there was no Chinese announcement. My friend is an older Chinese and couldn't understand. Fortunately, he saw the guests in the corridor evacuating and followed them. Although it was a close call, I still hope there will be a Chinese announcement.
WWanderlust SuThe hotel is a 15 minute walk to the nearest station. Parking was complimentary too. We enjoyed the fruits, cakes and pastries during breakfast.
Upon arrival, we gave feedback that the bathroom sink was choked and not fast flowing. It was rectified very quickly.
There is also a small supermarket conveniently located across the hotel.

GGuest UserHotel was really clean and nice. However, I got stuck a night at a tram/bus stop 15 minutes from the hotel on my way back from the city centre because the bus 99 was out of service. I was unfamiliar with the area and didn't speak italian. I called the hotel to ask if they could help call a taxi to pick me and bring me to the hotel. (I was going to pay the taxi obviously ) but they said they couldn't as they weren't allowed to do this. I ended up finally getting back to the hotel at almost 1am, after been assisted by some locals.
GGuest UserMy flight arrived early morning and the receptionist let me check in early, this was greatly appreciated after 32 hours of flights! The breakfast buffet was also pleasant.
TTemssThis is a very luxurious hotel which I booked for a veryyy cheap price. I had no expectations, again because of the price, but i was more than pleased and amazed when i got to the hotel. The staff are all very nice, it's a 24hr check-in which is a plus, close to the metro and the view both at night and in the day is stunning
MMeiyuanVery clean room and bathroom.
A big bed to easily get sleep.
Room was a bit small but ok.
Very close to subway station and a supermarket, very convenient!
Reception was crowded but nice people.
I had huge fun!! Thank you!

SStellaLouWe had an enjoyable 4-night stay here! Rooms were clean and the bed was soft and comfy, as expected of every Novotel hotels! Love the huge and spacious lobby and lounge area even though we did not use it but it looks so cosy and well furnished! Location wise is a little far from the city centre but there are trams outside the hotel that will take you there in 30mins. Do note that the air-cons do not work during cold season so everyone have to open their windows for natural air-con :)
