The owner loves Japanese culture and has many Japanese friends. The store also provides Japanese tea. I highly recommend it to Japanese friends or friends who like Japan. You will probably have a lot to talk about with the owner.

The most expensive hotel in our France-Switzerland trip, so we had high expectations for it. However, after staying there, we felt that it was not as good as the other one in Zermatt. The room was not very big, the bunk beds were very narrow, and they were locked to prevent us from using the upper bunk, so the child would easily hit his head when sitting up. This is now one of our favorite hotels in the world. The location is incredible and the room we stayed in had the most amazing view of the mountains and the church. Sitting on our balcony almost felt unreal, as if we were in a postcard. Our room was a great size, much larger than the typical rooms we find in Europe. It was a perfect room for a five day stay. However, it is the amazing staff that sets this hotel from anywhere else we have ever stayed. Specifically, Andrew at the front desk and Edith at breakfast. We have stayed in incredible hotels all over the world and have never experienced someone as eager and joyful to serve his guests as Andrew. He went out of his way to make sure each guest was cared for and that everything about their time in Grindelwald was perfect. And going to breakfast every morning and seeing Edith was like visiting a longtime friend. She treated you as if you were in her own home. That is likely the best way I can summarize staying at this hotel. It was like staying with people who treated you like you were their family. I hope to return one day just to relive this experience.
