A nice quick checkin and with a secure car park The room was nice and the bed very comfortable. I was impressed that tea, coffee, milk and a biscuit was left outside our door for our second night. We had dinner at the hotel for the first night. It was ok but portions were small. Breakfast the next morning was much better! And I thank the chef for serving fresh grilled tomatoes instead of tinned ones!! We chose this hotel as it was the closest to the city centre , it had a great view of the Minster and because it offered fantastic value for money. I would definitely recommend it!!

Booked through a business account, staff at check wasn’t good. Talked over me when asking basic questions, didn’t tell me anything about the restaurant times or breakfast which was pre paid. Had to ask him to check the notes a few times before he listened, still wasn’t helpful after. Booked a double bed but got a room with to singles ( on a one person booking ) room was noisy as it had an a joining door so I could hear the tv in the other room all night.

I’ve been staying away for work a lot recently, and this Premier Inn deserves some recognition. While the rooms are what you’d expect – clean, comfortable, and functional – what truly sets this place apart is the staff. There are two incredible women who seem to keep everything running smoothly. One of them, Jessica, really stood out, though I haven’t caught the other’s name yet. These two are absolutely phenomenal – it’s like they can walk through walls or teleport, always appearing exactly when you need them and with such a great attitude. Their energy and professionalism make a real difference. The food here is also surprisingly good. I haven’t met the chef, but they’re doing a great job. Meals are served quickly, arrive piping hot, and are consistently delicious. To top it all off, Jessica went above and beyond by sorting my dessert and drink to-go, which was such a thoughtful touch. Little things like that really make a stay memorable. I’m genuinely looking forward to coming back!”

I arrived at this hotel after a very long day of travelling, I was greeted cheerfully and checked in very quickly after which I was shown to my lovely large room with an equally large bathroom. The room was spotless, bright, airy and very peaceful. I unpacked and had dinner in the hotel which was lovely with great service and reasonable prices. After dinner I relaxed in my room and had a great nights sleep thanks to the peace and quiet in the hotel. Breakfast the next morning was amazing and cooked to order. Check out was efficient and Gareth had pre-booked me a taxi to take me to my meeting nearby. Thank you Millfields for a great stay.

This hotel has some of the nicest staff you will ever meet. I doubt many guests are there on holiday, mostly business/conference/weddings. We stay here when visiting family nearby - staff are so friendly to all guests, regardless of why they are staying there. Yes, the hotel suffers from a distinct lack of kerb appeal (thank the architects from the 1960’s) but once inside it is very nice. Rooms overlooking golf course, quiet - some with balcony which is a bonus. The food is not haut cuisine but well cooked and a reasonable choice. Breakfast is sometimes buffet style (when hotel is busy) or cooked to order at quieter times. Don’t let the exterior put you off!
