Hyatt Place Grand Rapids Downtown

When we first arrived we got a not so good room. There was no view other than a brick wall and our toilet stopped working and then we told front desk and they didn’t help at all except to tell us we could use the bathroom in the lobby. Next morning we reported it again and the manager accommodated us to a nicer room with a view and a working bathroom. The upgraded room made all the difference in our stay where as the first room felt like a dungeon. The manager and Aiden were great in making our stay better and because of that if you get a good room i recommend this location. It’s in a nice and convenient area. I don’t normally like downtown areas but GR downtown was great.

GREAT PLACE, EXCELENT LOCATION, FRIENDLY STAFF, NICE ROOMS. We were there this july as part of a wedding, we had everything we needed and the place was comfortable.

Beds were soft n fresh. Hot water was fabulous. Was disappointed Breakfast was not included. Staff was Very nice and knowledgeable.

The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night because the back-up battery died, and the hotel did not have spare batteries. On our request, the hotel eventually provided another room. They did offer some concession on price, but did not simply refund the room for the night, as I would have expected.

A special shout out to Kaileigh working the front desk. She made sure we all were taken care of. She was professional and caring for me and our family needs. Attentive and great customer service. Much love from the Cioch family. Thank you again! This is a wonderful city to visit as a New Yorker and would absolutely return again.
