Hotel Maverick

As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by Lauren M. She was tremendously helpful in getting us settled is as early as possible, which we appreciated so much after long, overnight flights. She also gave some great tips about the amenities. While we waited for check-in, we had some nice avocado toast, refreshers, cold brew, and hot coffee. Everything has been great so far.

We've stayed at Hotel Maverick twice within the past six months and both stays were wonderful. It is clean, peaceful, quiet, and the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. There is a lovely little coffee shop on the main floor and a very nice restaurant with an outdoor seating area on the top floor. We will absolutely stay here again.

This was one of the best hotels I've stayed in within the USA. It wasn't pretentious or luxurious, but everything about it was solidly excellent. Access was easy. Parking was plentiful and seemed secure. The building, which is quite new, was well maintained and was spotlessly clean. Reception was pleasant and fast. Our 3rd floor room large and was very quiet. The room had a mini fridge (w/o a freezer section) which was cold and quiet. The room didn't have a microwave oven, but there was one down the hall adjacent to the ice machine. As is common in hotels these days, the bed linens included a quilt-like cover but no blanket. A quilt-like cover might be suitable for cold winter weather but my wife & I considered it unsuitable for hot summer weather. We were thankful to find a blanket in the wardrobe cabinet. The breakfasts my wife & I had in Betty's Gourmet Coffee were tasty and plentiful (we especially liked the avocado toast). The four dinners we had at the Devil’s Kitchen restaurant were excellent. We took advantage of pleasant evening weather to enjoy cocktails outside on the 4th floor terrace located adjacent to the bar. The on-site EV charger worked like a champ (there's room for two vehicles). What I had guessed was a plunge-sized pool turned out to be a hot tub. We were there in 90 degree weather, so didn't try the hot tub. I wish the hot tub had been a pool...

Fantastic hotel! Extremely clean, beautiful, large rooms and bathrooms, and the staff simply top notch. Easy to check in and check out, NO parking fee (thank you), great location - walking distance to everything we wanted to do. Beautiful dinner, rooftop drinks - simply a beautiful retreat surrounded by the area's gorgeous mesa's.

Outstanding hotel on the Colorado Mesa University Campus. Rooms are first rate. The restaurant, The Devil's Kitchen, was a particular surprise. Grand Junction has a James Beard nominated restaurant, and it is excellent. The Devil's Kitchen is even better. Highly recommend.

We only stayed at Maverick one night, but everything about our stay was great. From the lovely, warm and welcoming young lady who checked us in, to the excellent Devil's Kitchen (although, if you are not going to have Beef Tartar, take it off the menu) to the clean, comfortable room. All good
