new facility in a small town good location next to main busiest street. But linens are kind of old and rough, apparently used and washed many times without replacing. Services are barely existent and staff training is way under expectation of Marriott standard I ever had. Rooms are equipped but very basic supplies. No tooth brushes and slippers.

Overall, Tru Hotel was a good place to stay — modern, clean, and with a few standout features — though there were some issues that made the experience a bit uneven. The positives: The huge TV was great for relaxing after a long day. Comfortable beds and great pillows made for a solid night's sleep. I appreciated the handy wall hooks, large dressing mirror, and smart LED lighting throughout the room. Convenient power and USB outlets were easy to access. Nice touch with the night light in the bathroom — helpful for late-night trips. The downsides: The hotel was hard to find due to poor signage, and the lobby setup was confusing, especially after 9:00 p.m. when the gated patio was locked. Our room had a broken faucet, a cold floor throughout with no rug, and also some cheap-feeling but very functional furniture. The heating/cooling system was complicated, and there were no clear instructions for Wi-Fi. Lighting controls were oddly placed and not intuitive. The room was also noisy, and the nightly rate felt higher than it should be, considering the issues. In fact, charging $300 for a room in downtown Grand Junction surrounded by construction work was preposterous! That said, the breakfast buffet was excellent — way above average — and the furnishings overall had a fun, modern vibe. If the hotel addressed a few of the functional issues and lowered the rate slightly, it would be an easy recommendation. As it is, we still recommend it!

The couch in our room had some super sus stains on it. That aside, room was clean. Walls are a little thin at this hotel. A very walkable location for dining and shopping.

Located at the end of main street and walkable to everything.
