Amber Springs Hotel

Not worth the money Do not go to Amber springs if you have a child under 4. We stayed at amber springs for 2 nights with our 2 year old and 6 year old. It just was not worth the money we paid. I paid €680 for 2 nights B&B for a family of 4. For this price I would have expected much more. There was nothing in the evening for our 2 year old. The first night I asked if there was anything after dinner for the kids and I was told it was just the gaming room that was available for our 6 year old but it was probably full(which it was) . I was told there was a disco the following night so both kids were very much looking forward to that. When we arrived at the disco we were told that our 2 year old couldn’t go in as it was for 4 years upwards only. We should have been told this by the reception when we asked where it was on. My kids were so disappointed it did ruin our break away. We were also told about a birds of prey show on Thursday morning . We waited 30 mins for this to be told it would not be going ahead. Not good enough. The soft play area is not supervised by staff. While there was signs advising that alcohol was not allowed some parents choose to ignore this. It was our first and last time at Amber Springs. We often go to the Clonakilty park, which is far superior. There is a disco every night for kids of all ages and a bar for adults to have a bit of down time while the kids have fun in a safe environment.

I was expecting a lot from this hotel based upon the reviews I had read. Unfortunately, when we checked in we found an insect in the jacuzzi and a large stain on our bed cover. The front desk was awesome about addressing the issue and after leaving the room for something to eat we came to find a newly dressed bed and an insect free tub. The room was quite large which I imagine is great if you are staying with younger children. One thing that was super bizarre was the lack of lightening in the bathroom. I honestly couldn't tell whether my make up made me look like a clown because the lighting was so poor. This hotel would be fantastic if you were taking a break with small children. Many of the people we saw were doing just that. We stayed here because we were attending a local wedding nearby so to be fair the hotel is not set up for people like us. The breakfast was plentiful with lots of children in attendance. Overall, the staff -- in the bar, the restaurant and the front desk -- were great.

I'm stayed 14th to 16th February as I was at a function. last night (February 15th) and everything from check-in to the pool, the room and the food were. excellent throughout. The room was very spacious and across the weekend the overall service was 1st class and was certainly 5 * + star level . The staff couldn't be any more helpful. Plus an added bonus there was a fantastic pint of Guinness. I would highly recommend. It is value for money due to the amazing customer service. Thanks again for a fantastic stay.

Love it! Great for families with child/ children! My daughter absolutely loved it and did not want to go! So many things to do for children. Very clean, tidy and well maintained. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Very good selection from menu in hotel's restaurant. Will be back there for sure!

Amazing experience specially for a family with kids. A lot of activities and entertainment events. Also the hotel is luxury and maintaining a high level of hygiene. I would definitely repeat this experience. I would recommend to families.
