I have this theory when traveling. You should stay in a hotel or B&B that totally represents where you are at that moment. I have spent my fair share of time traveling for business and while Hiltons and Marriotts are fine for that, there is nothing special that connects you to where you are. Domaine completely connects you to Provence. If you had to draw up the perfect hotel to spend time near Gordes, this would be the hotel. The attention to detail is extraordinary. David and Regis both are dedicated to making your time there memorable. Neither of them really had much experience running a small boutique hotel and I find it remarkable that they could put this together in the way that they have. Every minute that you are there is a reminder that you are in Provence. What a terrific small hotel.

Regis and David have created a very special retreat at Domaine les Martins. From the moment we checked in, we felt like every need was taken care of. They cooked us a delicious dinner our first night which we enjoyed in the privacy of our apartment, and they also made all of our dinner reservations and gave us excellent recommendations for every single aspect of our visit to Provence. Their taste is exquisite, the rooms are comfy and well equipped, the grounds are spectacular. They recommended a day of e-bike riding which was one of the highlights of our visit. Definitely a perfect place to stay close to many beautiful villages. Ten out of ten!

Should have booked more nights here!
What a great find for us! This place is so charming! We wish we had booked for longer. The parking is a little tight as European cars have gotten larger over time, but it’s safe and gated. The staff was extremely welcoming and was able to get us a dinner reservation at the last minute. We weren’t here long, but the pool looked inviting and every room was clean and comfortable. They make their own face and body scrubs, which feel amazing! Definitely will be back!

Property is 5 star from the minute you enter. The grounds and surrounds are superb. David & Regis are the perfect hosts, recommending & booking dinners for us & good advice on where to visit during our stay. Our room was beautiful. A must if you visit Provence!

Auch in diesem Jahr wieder ein von A bis Z perfekter Urlaub in der Domaine Les Martins. Herzlichen Dank an unsere unglaublich umsichtigen, gleichzeitig aber nie aufdringlichen Gastgeber David & Régis. Wir freuen uns schon jetzt auf den nächsten Aufenthalt in dieser Oase in der Provence.

My husband and had a relaxing three night stay at Domaine Les Martins while we explored the villages of the Luberon region. Although the grounds and common areas were lovely, our room wasn't what I was expecting. We entered into a floor level area that was so poorly lit, we weren't able to even read in the room. Upstairs was a small bedroom with a very comfortable bed and quality bed linens. Although the bathroom was well appointed with toiletry items and plush towels, there wasn't a door between the bed and bathroom. If you are looking for bathroom privacy, this isn't the room for you. The breakfast buffet looked and tasted delicious and was served leisurely from 9 - 11 AM. We weren't given the option of any other meals on the property. Other than being disappointed with our room, it is a nice place to stay in Provence.

Die Unterkunft ist ein absoluter Traum! Alles ist auf höchstem Niveau - Sauberkeit, Service, Freundlichkeit, Qualität des Essens, Ausstattung der Zimmer, es gibt nichts auszusetzen. Die Anlage ist wunderschön und mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet. Eine traumhafte Ruheoase… wir kommen wieder!

Nachdem "unser Zimmer" in "unserem Hotel" bereits vergeben war, mussten wir uns neu orientieren und hatten uns in diesem Jahr für die Domaine les Martins entschieden. Und das war eine richtig gute Entscheidung. Das wunderschöne Anwesen war sehr gepflegt, unser Zimmer groß und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, das Frühstück sehr gut und liebevoll zubereitet und die Aussenanlage ein Traum. Und all dies wurde noch getoppt von der Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft von David und Regis und ihren guten und hilfreichen Tipps. Danke, dass wir hier zu Gast sein durften.

We selected Domaine les Martins based on all the positive reviews, and could not have been happier with our choice. First, the location (though seemingly remote) is perfect for exploring the many beautiful Provençal villages within a 15-20 minute drive. This is a supremely quiet spot, nestled in a hamlet, and designed with every comfort in mind for guests. Regis and David are the consummate hosts, and are happy to help with advice and arrangements. For active types, we recommend renting e-bikes to explore the area. Kayaking on the nearby Sorgue River is also fun, especially for families. (You will get wet!) Many good nearby restaurants, but our best meal was one specially prepared by Regis and David. Breakfasts were a work of art.
