Im so glad someone else left bad reviews because it appears that ours has been deleted. I had the same experience with John. Its been a year and the idea of staying at a bed and breakfast will be tarnished forever. John was a cranky guy and did not seem to care about his guests at all. He was certainly not like some reviews stated. Baby Bell and boiled eggs plus some store bought pastries removed from packages to appear to be homemade for breakfast! We ate elsewhere. The room was small and bed was crap. And the money we spent for this dump makes me sick. Please do not contest this review John!! People need to be warned. That goes for trip adviser as well ...please believe this is a serious review. Thank U

Great stay
This is a very special property. Quaint, right on the water, owned and operated by John Orlando and wife. He is a very interesting host, lifetime resident and interesting to get to know. I highly recommend a stay here. Room was just right.

John welcomed us and was a remarkable host. We stayed in six different accomodations on this trip and this one was by far our favorite.
The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Parking is free and convenient. John gave us a great dining recommendation which was within an easy 8-10 minute walk. We would love to stay here again. Thank you for being a great host.

I loved our stay at Harborview Inn! Right on the water in Gloucester, beautiful views, easy to get to the train, and great rooms and service. John was a delight to talk to and very helpful with suggestions about the area. The only thing that could have made it better for me would be fruit at breakfast, but the pastries served were delicious.
I would absolutely stay at Harborview again if I am ever in Gloucester!

We stayed here from Friday to Monday for a wedding we were in. The Inn keeper Sam and the Inn owner John, were more than welcoming when we got there. This place was so cozy and really made you feel like home.
