This was our 6th time staying at The Vista. Most recently we stayed five nights in one of their Premium rooms (which has a small kitchenette). The Vista met all our needs and exceeded our expectations. It is one of the most well-run hotels I have stayed in. Everything is very clean and works well. Every single staff person we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and professional. This place is not fancy, but it is everything I want in a hotel by sea. And the views, ah the views.

Another lovely time at The Vista - the staff are so welcoming and eager to help. Each time we return we see something refreshed/updated, and everything - rooms, pool, breakfast area, grounds - is always immaculately clean! Extra bonus? The views of Good Harbor Beach and marsh are unparalled. Highly recommend this property. And book early - lots of repeat customers!!

I wish a 10 was available because that's how wonderful this place is. We just enjoyed our 53rd yr at Vista & it gets better every year. Laura & Gary are the best hosts who employ the best employees. From Mike who overseas the whole venue to Ana at the breakfast patio & MC who goes back to the University tomorrow. Everyone one is sooo accommodating. They're improving & updating constantly with great wifi & Roku & the huge buttery croissants are to die for at the free breakfast patio. Oh don't forget to get those yummy lobster rolls & pizza at a great price down the road & enjoy relaxing at the Vista patio. We love you Laura ♡

Loved our stay at The Vista. Our room overlooked Good Harbor beach, which is only a 10-minute walk away and one of the loveliest beaches around. Our room was spacious and clean. Service was exceptional, from Robin at the front desk with great restaurant recommendations to Mike kindly running point on breakfast (awesome to have complimentary hard-boiled eggs, bananas, yogurt, lemon blueberry bread, juice and coffee available). Oh and the outdoor pool(!) is heated, plenty of lounge chairs and a "shallow end" space for kids; it was serene during our stay and everyone was respectful of one another. The Vista would be the #1 place I'd recommend to anyone visiting Gloucester.

This is a lovingly maintained older motel with beautiful views of salt marshes and Good Harbor Beach. Located in a neighborhood, it is a pleasant walk to the wide, sandy beach with gentle surf and a creek area on one end which is great for kids. Free continental breakfast outside under a tent with views of the marshes and ocean. Pleasant pool area, beautiful flowers and landscaping. Rooms are old school but extremely clean and well cared for. Nice sitting area or balcony through the room’s sliding doors. Yes , you can let in the fresh air!

The room was so pretty. The view was so beautiful and it was peaceful sitting on the deck. The people that run it was so helpful wanted to help us in anyway they could and accommodate us if we needed anything. Anna in the breakfast room was so pleasant and fun to talk to. Gave us some ideas on what to see and do as did the owner of the place ask and they help you. I would definitely visit again.
