Me and my partner stayed for 2 nights in the Luxury Lodges, perfect service and most perfect lodge. We had the most beautiful experience having views right onto the loch and a cosy night in with the hot tub, we will definitely be booking to come again! next time bringing our furry friend with us. We definitely experienced what we paid for with excellent rooms and a beautiful kitchen for cooking when we didn’t want to go out to eat. We didn’t realise how big our lodge was until we got there would definitely book for more people next time as there was plenty of space for up to 6 people! Thank you so much for the services ❤️ Kaitlyn.

We stayed for two nights in one of the Shepherd's Huts (Goose I think). We normally stay in 5 star hotels but decided to mix things up a bit on a week long road trip around Scotland. We arrived on a beautiful sunny day - just in time to see a lovely sun set over Loch Lomond. The Hut was very small - but we weren't expecting any different. However, I would make any future guests aware of a few things that they might not expect: 1. There isn't a direct view of the Loch 2. There was NO wifi in our hut. My husband had to keep going outside to find a 'spot; where he could download news programmes etc. Quite annoying really as they advertise Premium Broadband - so if you need to keep in touch for work/business purposes, bear this in mind 3. There is no TV - not even a radio (and with no wifi, you can feel a bit cut off) 4. The shower's pretty tight to manoeuvre around in, so if you're ample in size, you might struggle 5. Despite booking in for two nights, we were supplied with 2 (yes 2) tea bags and two sachets of coffee which we thought was pretty mean...oh and there's literally two teaspoons. two forks etc. You get my drift! 6. The village of Balmaha is a 5 - 10 minute walk away where you'll find a small shop, small cafe and a large and excellent restaurant (The Oak Tree Inn. Service is a bit erratic but I had the best food all trip here. Make sure you book online) Having pointed out the downsides, I would add that it was an experience we're glad we had.

The area is lovely and well worth a visit. The lodges are nice enough but by no means ‘luxury’ or ‘5-star’. More 3 star. Really in need of an upgrade and not great quality. The kitchen wasn’t thought out at all, frustrating to use. The dishwasher door seal was hanging off and kept catching. The place could do with a lick of paint. Visible water stains on the ceiling and scuff marks up the stair walls. The shower in the main bedroom was awful to use. The shower head has been replaced however due to the bolt used it doesn’t sit in the holder well. It’s a fine balance between enough but not too much water pressure to keep it in place. Decided to try the shower in the other room and it was so off centre that you had to stand to the side to use it. Even the shower doors opened the wrong way which was frustrating and awkward to use especially if you have kids. Wi-Fi booster upstairs would be good as it doesn’t reach past the ground floor.

I was disappointed with this accommodation, it states "luxury 5 stars" it was maybe 20 years ago but its very tired and needing upgrading. When we arrived the "luxury steam shower" was out of order as was one of the other toilets with a laminate sign to let us know. We were not advised prior to this or emailed with any explanation. The hot tub was falling apart and also looking shabby. The smart TV was no use unless you had accounts for netflix etc when my husband just wanted to watch the news. The WIFI was awful and could barely check emails, got better signal at the pub down the road. The tiny TV in the bedroom didn't work. The showers are too small and need updating. The bedding was old and needs replacing. The "welcome starter pack had one teabag. I think there is a lack of love in the lodges and not my experience of "luxury" and its a shame as with some work could be lovely.

It should be 0 out of 5 , place is like a small box and has some wheels , no view to loch , it is advertised as luxury lodge on Loch Lomond , If you walk half a mile , may see Loch Lomond My wife and I were so disgusted , we came home , even though very tired after travelling through Glasgow

What great lodges - we were in No7 and could ask for nothing more. It was well equipped, clean, and a perfect example of how great self catering can be but also with a great and uninterrupted view of the loch. The bbq trolley and hot tub were a really nice touch as the weather wasn’t great. Lovely stay - would recommend.

We had a fabulous stay in one of the Shepherds Huts at The Loch Lomond Waterfront Lodges. It is a very tranquil site about 3 minutes walk from their private beach, very picturesque. The Shepherds Hut had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Looking forward to our next visit.

We stayed in Cawdor Lodge No 5 for 5 nights in July. Family of 4, two grown up daughters - 2 x singles and 1 double. Both were en suite. The lodge itself was excellent, appointed to a very high standard and very spacious. Enormous double bed (I think it was 2 x singles) but nevertheless. Very private as well. Minimal noise from the adjoining property. We made frequent use of the hot tub, which is under cover, so great to sit and read a book in there with a glass (plastic) of wine whilst watching the rain! The check in, gate code etc is all processed via email, so there was no need to even speak with our hosts, although we did pop over the say hello. We did spend a lot of time of time at The Oak Tree Inn. Its a 5 min walk from the Lodges, with lots of outdoor seating. You would be wise to book in advance for any evening meals. Its more of a restaurant than a pub. Next door there is a small village store, an also St Mocha Coffee Shop which serves small bites as well. Would recommend the daily ferry to Luss. Very picturesque. We did go up Conic Hill which has amazing views. It's quite steep in places. Spent the afternoon in the hot tub recovering. Sea Life Aquarium in Balloch, would be good for younger children. Meal in Drymen Arms was good. Overall we had a great stay, despite a few rainy days.
