Hotel in a great location. Everywhere nearby. The building is old but has a feel to it. Some of the equipment is already old and simply needs to be repainted or replaced (the carpet in the corridor and the room is probably another of many and the door barely opens). Bed linen and towels and general impression of cleanliness ok. Poor lighting in the room. Nice and helpful staff. Hearty breakfast, many types of potatoes, bacon, sausages, eggs - specific, regional, not everyone has to like - do not drink coffee, tea is ok. It is hard to judge, but it was not a problem. There are elevators, but you will run down the stairs faster - checked! Generally everything ok for the price and it was quite nice.

Weird hotel. Either very cold or very hot water in the shower. No brush to clean the toilet, water in the sink didn't sink. In the bathroom the floor was sticky like it hadn't been cleaned for awhile. Next time I would spend more for a better hotel.

Fiquei com a minha familia neste hotel durante 2 noites e foi uma péssima estadia. O quarto que nos deram o 513 cheirava a tabaco de tal forma que nem tendo as janelas abertas durante dois dias o cheiro passou, estava impregnado nos cortinados e por todo o lado, reclamamos na recepção e apareceu um funcionário com um spray que meteu por tido o quarto e nada adiantou, como sou alérgica a cheiros fortes passei duas noites terriveis. Os quartos do hotel São muito velhos e havia lixo pelos corredores á porta doa quartos, nunca tinha visto tal coisa. O p almoço foi aceitável e o unico ponto a favor deste hotel é a localização

Ok so I was very dubious about staying here and only chose it because there weren't many choices for just a Friday night in Glasgow that weren't ridiculously expensive. The reviews made it sound like a homeless hostel and to be frank, I was rather dreading it. However, the wing and room I was in was hard to fault - it had obviously been refurbished and the room was very comfortable indeed, well appointed and had an excellent shower and a very comfortable bed. The hotel is on the rougher end of Argyle Street and the reception is a little "institutional" but apart from that I couldn't fault the room. I was surprised to get breakfast included and while the food was fine (although the smallest fried eggs I have ever seen!) I did rather get the impression I was the only person in the room paying my own bill! However, it was ok and certainly a lot better than I had feared from the reviews.

Nice hotel price was ok as i booked direct with hotel. Hotel room could do with a colour change. Bathroom floor tyles all cracked had to climb into bath to have shower. Beds very comfortable. No view from window

Please do not stay at this Hostel for the homeless ! It’s full of drug ******* that need help. Place smells of **** as soon as you enter it. They also have security on 24 hours a day to keep an eye on the undesirable characters that are living there. I have nothing against these people and they do need the right kind of help and guidance - but please don’t advertise the Hotel as a Hotel. It’s NOT. It’s a hostel for vulnerable people. Myself and my friends didn’t feel safe. They hang around outside too. It’s awful.

This is not a Hotel. It’s being used as a Hostel for homeless people. It smells of ******** in the hotel corridors. Breakfast is pathetic. Like really not good at all and not edible. Rude staff asking what your room number is as they don’t recognise your face - this happened while I was taking a phone call and was rudely interrupted. Please avoid this place. I spoke to another guest who had belongings stolen from his room and found metal spoons under his bed which had been used to take illegall ***** !

Avoid ! Hotel is being used as a Hostel for the homeless. Place smells of **** as soon as you enter the corridors. Breakfast is tasteless and cold coffee from a machine. Will not be back. Homeless people also congregate outside the place. It should be a Hotel or a Hostel. Just one as it is not appropriate for a family to stay there. Some dodgy characters lurking around too. Avoid !
