At first glance, the hotel looks very nice. Same on the internet photos. But the reality is that it was probably very nice 20 years ago, at the beginning of tourism in Indonesia. It has never been renovated since, and it shows... The hotel is really aging! In the room, lots of things don't work, there are leaks everywhere in the bathroom. Under the sink, behind the toilet, and also coming from the ceiling, around the only light available in the bathroom. Yes, ladies, to put on makeup, you have to have a good view! The shower was blocked since we arrived. On the service: the staff is nice, like most Indonesians! On the other hand, they don't do much in the room. I'm even convinced that they only come to make the bed, and that's it. Besides, they didn't even make the room/bed on the last day. Very strange to come back to your room at 7pm and see that nothing has moved since 9am. There is sand behind the furniture, in the bathroom. They don't refill shampoo/shower gel when there is none left. Same for toilet paper. You have to do it anyway... even in a rotten Formula 1 you have all that at will! Our fridge kept leaking, pouring brown water onto the tiles. After 3 reports and 4 very brief attempts at cleaning on their part, they decided to replace it with a "new fridge". A fridge that they just went to get from the next room... hoping for our neighbors that they didn't inherit ours that was leaking!! Clearly they don't clean. Or maybe a little bit, when guests leave. The wifi really works randomly, the breakfast is extremely basic and not very filling. The only 2 positive points of this hotel were the fact that we slept well, the bedding is correct. And the location. It is indeed very well located. But that is not enough, or at least, not enough anymore... without a complete renovation, it will end up like the other establishments that did not survive Covid and the years: permanently closed, waiting for a buyout, and a lot of money to put everything back in order, new, and up to standard. Finally, there are lots of misleading photos on their trip advisor profile or others. In particular the private beach belonging to them, with beanbags. Non-existent. No restaurant in the hotel. Breakfast is limited to 4 dishes to choose from, extremely basic, not like what you see in the photos. Etc... Apart from that, our stay on Gili T was very nice! But avoid this hotel...
