Best Gili Trawangan Hotels

"Location: Private and beautiful beach. Not great for swimming or snorkeling (due to the tide) but beautiful for sunsets. In general it's in a more quiet, less crowded area. However, there are lots of restos, beach cinemas, and a small grocery store in walking distance. It takes ~15-20min to drive to the other side of the island where the harbor, the night market, and lots of bars are located. Rooms: Spacious. Clean. Everything as described. Comfortable beds (mattresses are not extremely soft, but rather a bit hard). The terrace is really nice. Food: Breakfast was very delicious. It's not buffet, but the portions are really good and definitely sufficient. Every breakfast includes tea/coffee, juice, water, and pastry. Service: All staff was overly kind and friendly. Room service up to 2 times a day (with homemade cookies every night). Bikes are for rent - prices are the same as everywhere else. Bikes are a bit run down - but so are most bikes that we've seen on the island. We recommend staying at the hotel."

"Excellent value for money over the New Year holidays. We stayed for 3 days. The bikes were great for an extra 50k. The pool was clean, the room cozy, and the garden green. They put us on the 2nd floor in the furthest room, which was a fantastic decision as it was quiet and far from the pool (the noise from 2nd-floor guests would likely be audible on the 1st floor). Highly recommend! 👍"

The location is super convenient – within walking distance to bike paths and the best spots for exploring the island. 🏡 Rooms and Grounds: The rooms are modern, clean, and very stylish, with thoughtful design and everything you need for a comfortable stay. We especially loved the cottages – they're cozy, spacious, and perfect for both couples and families. The well-maintained green grounds, swimming pools, and beach umbrellas create a dream vacation atmosphere. 🤝 Staff: The hotel team is a definite plus! They are very welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help. They assisted us with bicycles, answered all our questions, and made our stay even more enjoyable. 🍽️ Food and Services: The breakfasts are delicious, with a variety of dishes to suit all tastes, and the restaurant offers interesting international cuisine. The free bicycles are a fantastic bonus, making it easy to explore the entire island. 🌞 Overall Impression: This hotel is perfect for anyone looking to relax, enjoy nature, a beautiful beach, and a tranquil atmosphere. "A beautiful cabin, well presented in a lovely quiet side of the island. The pool is open 24/7 and the staff are incredible jolly and helpful. They have an optional breakfast in the mornings and a restaurant throughout the day with 20 percent discount for lodgers. They also have a free outdoor cinema in the evenings. They offer bike hires and excursions but you will find cheaper elsewhere on the island. A lovely stay and very affordable!"

"A great hotel for those seeking peace and quiet. It's located on the opposite side from the noisy port (about a 15-20 minute ride by horse cart or bike). You can rent bikes directly from the hotel, which is super convenient for getting around the island. The beach in front of the hotel is rocky, so you can't go into the water without water shoes. The grounds are very beautiful, and the sunsets at this hotel are truly the best on the island."

"Excellent location. It's a one-minute walk to the sea, and you get gorgeous sunsets right on your doorstep. The rooms are spacious, and the bathroom is large and comfortable with a stylish interior. There are only 20 rooms, making it a small and cozy place. Like most hotels in Indonesia, there's an issue with room cleaning; you often have to remind them to change the linen, and the towels can be stained. Another downside is the window screen in the bathroom—it makes it very hot during the day, lets insects in, and loud music from Rabbita often blasts through. Overall, it's a good, comfortable hotel. We stayed for 6 nights."

"If you want to stay close to the harbour and right where the atmosphere is lively, Villa Ombak is a great choice. It’s only about a six-minute walk from the harbour, so everything is easy to reach without being right in the middle of the crowds. The staff were genuinely lovely and very welcoming, which made the stay even more enjoyable. You get the best of both worlds — close enough to walk to where things are happening, yet still peaceful enough to relax. I stayed in one of the traditional Lumbung huts and it was absolutely beautiful. Just something to note — the bathroom is downstairs via a small staircase from the bedroom, so it suits someone reasonably mobile. The shower is outdoors, which actually adds a really nice tropical touch and makes the experience a bit more unique. Under the bedroom there’s also a bale (a shaded lounging space) where you can unwind, read, or sneak in an afternoon nap — honestly, very easy to lose track of time there."

"The hotel is super nice. It's small, but very quiet. You don't hear any of the island's partying. The room is large, and the bathroom is fantastic. I booked the hotel with breakfast included and was able to choose something from the menu every day. Bicycles (super new) were available to rent directly from the hotel for €2.50. It's a 10-minute bike ride to the harbor. I would book again. A pool towel can be borrowed free of charge."

"A nice, cozy hotel in its price range. Everything is new and clean. The bed and pillows are good. The port is a 5-minute walk away. You can hear prayers at 5 a.m., but that's common in this country. Bring earplugs or get up and go looking for turtles. It's not that hot, but the water is amazingly warm. The streets are still uncrowded, so you can ride along the coast with a breeze. One morning, we found four of them in one place. It was amazing! Delicious omelette for breakfast. There's hot water. There's a faucet at the entrance. There's one outlet in the parking lot; in theory, you can charge your bike. If there's heaven, Gili Land is it."
