Not a bad hotel for 2-3 nights. The territory is compact, breakfast is on the menu to choose from - all vegetarian. Located recently from the port. Near the mosque.

Deluxe double room was amazing, king bed, very comfy. Kids were staying in twin room, not as impressive but they were happy. Staff is great, breakfast super. small swimming pool but great. Location is very close to the restaurants and bars. I would recommend but lots of activity so if you’re looking for something quieter with no boats in front of your hotel, head for the north of the island. You can rent a bike anywhere for max 2.5€/24h and a tour of the island takes 1 hour.

We loved it here. The staff were so lovely and friendly and always on hand if you needed them The rooms were well appointed with a well stocked mini bar, tea, coffee and wine in the room. I loved the fact they were eco conscious with no single use plastics. They used metal or cardboard straws , and there was a water cooler for refills . The location was fantastic , 10 mins walk from the port and you can snorkel right from the beach and see turtles. The breakfast options were delicious and huge portions! We also ate dinner there which was really good. We loved it so much we wanted to stay longer, then our ferry got cancelled and we were overjoyed! But unfortunately they were full so we couldn't go back.

Do not book here! My boat got cancelled due to weather conditions no fault of my own had a letter stamped from the Captain to say it wasn’t safe to travel and they wouldn’t provide a refund even though this was not my fault! There was no flights either to Lombok so do not book here They get you to bank transfer so you cannot claim it back through your credit card

The staff at Bale Sampan become family. They look after you and are always making sure your needs are met. They give great advice and happy to organise anything for you. The Taste restaurant is wonderful and breakfast absolutely starts the day off right. We rode around the island and saw the big hotels but none of them had the chill out vibe that Bale Sampan has to offer. We will definitely stay here again and loved our time in Gili Trawagan
