Hotel um pouco desatualizado e envelhecido, uma pena porque a localização é fantástica. O pequeno almoço é muito pobre. É numa cafeteria com muitas poucas opções. Serviu para nós porque fomos a um evento e só marcamos o hotel pela proximidade e só lá fomos dormir. Para usufruir do hotel não dá.

We enjoyed our stay at the Alcomar. If you have an inland view room facing a street it can be noisy so always try to book a sea view room.
The reception staff were always helpful and breakfast was satisfactory.
The hotel's location enables an easy walk to the railway and bus stations and there is a good supermarket adjacent to the hotel.
The sandy Playa de San Lorenzo beach is adjacent to the hotel. and is good for swimming.
If you are staying there, take a train west to Cudillero, a pleasant seaside small town otr visit the Gijon botanical gardens, an easy bus ride for the bus station. There are a number of museums in Gijon - the local railway museum is also worth a visit..

Our first stop driving round Spain and Portugal. Nice hotel, quite dated but in an elegant way. Breakfast, in their attached cafe, was excellent - all freshly cooked to order. As mentioned by others, there is no parking at all, and finding the underground parking, and paying top price for it, was a bit of a nightmere. Sadly our room was at the back and overlooked - nothing much at all.

Bonitas fotos de las habitaciones. La realidad queda lejos de esas fotos tan bonitas. Camas de 90 x180 cms. colchones duros. Si le ofrecen habitación con armario abuhardillado, no acepte. una viga muy incomoda atraviésa toda la habitación. la insonorización de las habitaciones es nula, la insonorización exterior muy mala, permite escuchar el ruido de las maquinas industriales de refrigeración del bar de la calle trasera del hotel. Tras preguntar por ese ruido , responden que no sabían la existencia ni del bar ni del ruido. El ruido es intermitente dia y noche, el efecto es como tener un tractor en marcha en la puerta de tu casa. Hotel poco recomendable, mala calidad, mal servicio.

Hace más de 30 años que visito este Hotel tanto en pareja como con amigos, tiene una ubicación perfecta frente a la playa y al lado de toda la zona comercial y de ambiente de Gijón con un personal muy amable y unas instalaciones muy adecuadas. Posiblemente necesite alguna pequeña reforma en el mobiliario de las habitaciones

Posizione comodissima alla spiaggia, col senno di poi non proprio vicina alle stazioni se dovete girare molto, ma può essere che le due cose non possano coesistere. Tornerei lì perché è comunque in ottima posizione rispetto alla spiaggia e al centro storico, supermercato vicino, stanza grande pulita ed elegante, tutto l'hotel ha un look retrò senza un'epoca particolare, forse liberty o anni 30 ma non ci giurerei, comunque molto pulito e lucidato non dà minimamente l'idea di "vecchio" personale gentile e preparato. Colazione ok, cioè siamo nelle Asturie, e solo chi c'è stato può capire , però anche lì sono stati molto disponibili infatti abbiamo usufruito del servizio quasi sempre.
