We arrived on the day of the national Spanish power blackout after long journey. Reception staff excellent and briefed us on restaurant choices being restricted because of this. Also on parking. All staff throughout whether in restaurant, reception, at breakfast or in cleaning of rooms excellent. They were invariably friendly, helpful and had some English. If you book go for room with view of lovely park which has an island full of birds. Gijon is an interesting place to visit for a couple of days or more.

un peu plus "ordinaire " que les paradors que nous connaissons, mais de bon confort et services. le resto : plats perfectibles.chambre donnant sur le parking : vue pas terrible!

Der Parador liegt am Rande des Parks Isabel la Catolica. Man ist zu Fuss in 10 Min. am Meer und in einer halben Stunde in der Altstadt. Der Parador ist ruhig, schön eingerichtet. Personal freundlich und aufmerksam. Superiorzimmer ist recht gross, es fehlt allerdings der Teekocher oder die Kaffeemaschine. Bequeme Betten, grosses Badezimmer mit Badewanne. Frühstücksbuffet ist allerdings knapp Paradorniveau. Die Auswahl ist kleiner als normal, aber ausreichend, es wird regelmässig nachgefüllt.

El parador está muy bien situado en medio de un parque precioso, pero necesita una reforma porque da la impresión de estar un poco decadente. Las habitaciones y los baños tienen una luz muy pobre, para ver el termostato de la calefacción tenía que poner la linterna del móvil, El comedor del desayuno tenía algunas luces del buffet fundidas y en general daba una impresión de triste y oscuro. El salón era inexistente, creo que estaban en obras porque la mitad estaba clausurado. En fin muy buena situación pero tienen que reformarlo y darle otro aire más luminoso y moderno.

Pues el hotel muy bonito y el lugar cercano al centro la atención por parte de la recepcionista magnífica la que nos atendió pero el tema del colchón se merece que los cambien no pude dar ojo, fatal los muelles han sido como una tortura
