Holiday Inn Express & Suites Gettysburg

We started off pretty rocky. We arrived 7/29/24 late night hours and the front desk attendant could not find our reservation so that took a while then finally he let us go to our rooms thank God as we were pretty sleepy and out of town and cranky being that we got in so late obviously we asked for a late check out the following morning. The front desk basically told us no because the building is sold out that evening, but what does that have to do with us, ? We got in late I feel like if we could not be offered a late check out at least she could’ve offered us one extra hour or went over any other possible option but was very dismissive. Slept about five hours and wanted a late check out ….when we left No one said anything on our way out the door not a goodbye. See you later. Thanks for coming anything after almost spending $200 that was not worth it due to customer service and it’s a shame because our room was perfect , I can tell this facility is fairly new so everything is going to be perfect in the beginning and it was our room spacious. The bathroom was perfect too bad horrible customer service.
Best Western Gettysburg

Everything was absolute great with the rooms and facility! Very friendly staff and very clean rooms! Really enjoyed that part! Just plan on eating breakfast out. Very bad menu with low quality food! All of our party complained about types and quality of food products and menu. Not eatable!
Hampton Inn Gettysburg

Our one night stay was absolutely amazing. We travelled to Gettysburg to tour the battlefield and our stay was short and sweet! The welcome we received at the reception desk from Stephanie was exceptional and she went above and beyond to make us feel at home. She told us where we could go get a nice steak dinner, which is what we were looking for. She also gave us a map on things to do around town which was a nice touch. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable and the hotel is conveniently located and easily accessible. The warm cookies in the lobby were such a delight! I recommend it and I would definitely stay here again.
The Swope Manor Bed & Breakfast
4.7/5100 Reviews
We made our reservations with the Swope Manor after reading reviews of other B&B’s in the area. We drove up from Florida with good friends of ours and stayed five nights. Our rooms were nicely appointed with antique period pieces and very clean. All staff we came in contact with went out of their way to accommodate us and made us feel very welcomed (thank you Bruce and Autumn!) in the back of the property was a gas fire pit and patio pieces where we spent many evenings together. The Swope is within walking distance of downtown and of course, anything battlefield related. We enjoyed each breakfast and the time and effort that went into these meals. These were generally started with a serving of fresh fruit, homemade muffins and a quiche type entree. My only suggestion is to add something like home fries and bacon which would have rounded out the meals. We loved our time at the Swope Manor and if back in Gettysburg, would definitely stay again!
Hotel Gettysburg

Thanks so much to Ali for making our stay as seamless as possible. We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Gettysburg. Hotel Gettysburg is centrally located downtown within walking distance to a ton of fun shops. The rooms were large and comfortable. I really appreciated the full size shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the showers. ..nothing worse than conditioner in a tiny bottle that's not enough for a full head of hair! Ali was patient and answered a ton of questions I had that helped make my trip the best ever! Thank you, Hotel Gettysburg, for employing kind and helpful staff. We love the stay, loved the location, loved the staff!
Courtyard Gettysburg
4.2/591 Reviews
Our first room did not have functional HVAC. The engineers tried to fix it but ultimately we were advised to move. No other extended king rooms were available so we ended up in a queen room that was OK. For our troubles we were given breakfast vouchers for one day. There is only one employee trying to fill all the coffee orders in the Cafe in the morning, so it took a while to use our vouchers. The food was dry and cold, not freshly prepared. The coffee was good. While the employees were helpful and pleasant, I don't find the Courtyard brand to be of value. The $10 food and beverage voucher barely covers one cup of coffee, certainly not 2. The Cafe serves substandard food at every Courtyard we've visited. The free buffet breakfast at Residence Inn is far superior. This visit did nothing to dispel the impression that Courtyard is overpriced and makes traveling an ordeal rather than a pleasure.
